Tonight on the Tube: Ghosts and Killers by the Numbers

What will you be watching on TV tonight? I know what I wish I were watching tonight but thanks to CBS canceling Joan of Arcadia that will not be happening. So what is worth watching? Read on and find out.

Prime Picks

Ghost Whisperer (CBS): On tonight’s series premiere an earthbound spirit of a soldier is helped to crossover. This show takes the time slot of Joan of Arcadia, the best show on Friday’s the last couple of seasons. We shall see what CBS was thinking tonight.

Killer Instinct (Fox): The series premiere of this cop drama set in Deviant Crime Unit of San Francisco debuts tonight. It was formerly entitled The Gate. The plot line, character, and setting remind me of Touching Evil, a good show that used to be on USA Network.

Numbers (CBS): Don and his math genius brother are back to solve more cases in the season premiere tonight.

Solid Selections

The Bernie Mac Show (Fox): Two episodes are on tonight for the season premiere of this comedy.

Threshold (CBS): The second episode of this new alien drama airs tonight in the second hour. Last weeks two-hour premiere was uneven and long. Maybe this show will be better at just an hour.

Inconceivable (NBC): The series premiere of this show airs tonight. I don’t know much about this show except that it is set in a fertility clinic.

Other Options

What I Like About You (WB): Tonight Holly is determined to make you relationship with Vince work.
Twins (WB): The second episode of this new comedy. If you watched What I Like About You, you could stick around for this show but I would seriously click over to Fox for the second episode of The Bernie Mac Show or just flip channels for a half-hour.

Three Wishes (NBC): If you like Oprah’s dream bus and shows like Extreme Makeover: Home Edition then you will probably truly enjoy this new show with Amy Grant. In tonight series premiere the team travels to Sonora, CA where they meet an amazing girl that has been in a horrible accident, a teacher who is not well and has a wish for her students, and a little boy thanks the person who stepped up after his father died.

Not really anything else on worth watching although you can always catch your early edition local news broadcast.

Cable Choices

Stargate Atlantis (Sci-Fi): Two episodes aired back-to-back giving you two hours of Sci-Fi goodness.

Battlestar Gallatica (Sci-Fi): The season finale.

Notes

For Cable Choices you may need to check your local listing for exact times depending on your time zone. Prime Picks are the best three picks for primetime or what I am probably watching. Selections, Options and Choices give you some other good ideas for each hour of primetime if my picks don’t float your TV boat.
