Of the 31 new shows to debut this Fall TV Season 10 were sitcoms, those 30-minute shows that are supposed to give you a chuckle now and then. We are far enough into the season that every new sitcom has been on at least a few times.
So how do they rank? Well I decided to play a game of: if all 10 shows were on at the same time and I could only watch one, which would it be? Sorry, no TiVos allowed in this game. That show would take the number one slot. Then I repeated it with the remaining nine and so on until there was only one show left, which got the coveted last spot on this list.
- How I Met Your Mother
- Everybody Hates Chris
- My Name Is Earl
- Twins
- Out of Practice
- The War At Home
- Kitchen Confidential
- Freddie
- Hot Properties
- Love, Inc.
Before doing this ranking I made sure that I had seen each show at least twice. This included having watched the series premiere of each. Ranking the shows was difficult. Not because of a plethora of great shows to choose from. Quite the contrary actually, it was hard to pick which one was worse than another. I did come to one conclusion during this exercise and that is if any of the shows from 2 through 10 suddenly vanished off the TV schedule I wouldn’t really care.
How would you rank the new sitcoms this season?
