NBC is all new episodes tonight including the return of Scrubs with back-to-back episodes in the second hour of primetime. Everything else is in repeats except ABC with the FedEx Orange Bowl. Soon we will have a few weeks where everything is new again. Can’t wait. What will you be watching on TV tonight?
Prime Picks
Bones (FOX): This was an extremely good episode. In this repeat Brennan figures out the identity of a young boy who was assaulted sexually before his murder. The scenes with Brennan in the interrogation room with another little boy are some of the best this show has offered up.
Scrubs (NBC): It is finally back. One of the best comedies on TV is actually going to be on TV. In this episode Dr. Cox puts J.D.’s ability to make decisions to the test. Elliot is at a new hospital but still wants to hang out at Sacred Heart and Turk is doing what he can to keep Carla from getting pregnant without her knowing.
Scrubs (NBC): In the second new episode of the night we find J.D. questioning his relationship with his interns. Meanwhile Dr. Cox is trying to keep Turk from giving Jordan a warning and Carla accidentally gives Eliot a new nickname at her new hospital.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (NBC): New episode where a boy takes justice into his own hands after the killer of his mother is released because of lack of evidence.
Solid Selection
Gilmore Girls (WB): Repeat where Richard tries to get Logan to tell him what Rory’s plans for the future might be leading to some misunderstandings.
House (FOX): Repeat where it turns out that doctors really do make bad patients.
No good third hour solid selection tonight.
Other Options
NCIS (CBS): This was a fun episode. In this repeat a civil war era tomb is opened only to find a cell phone inside.
NCIS (CBS): This was also a really good episode where Gibbs bonds with a young boy after his father is kidnapped and the boy is their only lead.
48 Hours Mystery (CBS): Repeat.
Cable Choices
Emeril Live (Food Network): Find out the benefits of slow cooking in this repeat.
John Ratzenberger’s Made in America (Travel Channel): Get a look at how Trek make bicycles and some cutting edge diabetic devices.
Recipe for Succes (Food Network): A woman tries to open a Soy Pizza restaurant.
The Closer (TNT): Repeat where Brenda and the team investigate the murder of a movie star’s wife. If you missed this show over the summer it is definitely worth watching as they repeat the entire season over the next few weeks.
Sports Note
The FedEx Orange Bowl is on ABC tonight with Florida State taking on Penn State from Miami, FL.
