The A-Team – Season 3
This was a fun show and one of my favorites growing up. A live action cartoon, if you will. Where nobody ever seemed to die or even get wounded. Even with all the gunfire, explosions and vehicles flipping and crashing. Who couldn’t use some “Heroes for Hire†from time to time? This group didn’t always get along but they always solved the problem and got away before the Military Police showed up. Hannibal, Face, BA and “Howling Mad†Murdock were the ultimate goods guys, helping those that couldn’t help themselves. The set comes on 3 discs that includes all 25 episodes but is light on extras and special features. If you love when a plan comes together then plan on picking up this DVD boxed set.
MI-5, Volume 3
The episodes that I have seen of this show I liked very much. Known as Spooks in Britain where it takes place has been re-titled MI-5 for the US market and shown on A&E. The show has a great style and a serious tone, which is appropriate given the subject matter. For the American audience think more TNT’s The Grid or FOX’s 24 (without the time element) than CBS’s The Agency. The DVD boxed set comes on 5 discs that include all 10 episodes and many special features, a total of 600 minutes of material. The special features include never before seen footage, commentaries and interviews with cast and crew and exclusive to the DVD featurettes.
