Emergency – Season Two
DeSoto, Gage and the rest of Squad 51 are coming to the rescue again with season two on DVD. Visit Nurse Dixie McCall and Dr. Brackett at Rampart Hospital with all 21 riveting episodes from this season. The set is light on special features but full of action, drama and humor. Who can’t appreciate a little humor when you are in the middle of some dire dramatic emergency situation? This show groundbreaking show was really the first to offer up a realistic view of what it is to be an EMT or work in an emergency room. This season had guest appearances by Dick Van Patten, Melissa Gilbert and others.
Moonlighting – Season 3
This is one of my favorite shows of all time. The witty dialogue and back and forth banter between the two leads Maddie Hayes (Cybill Sheppard) and David Addison (Bruce Willis) as they tried to solve their latest case was magic. The show had drama, lots of comedy and the all-important will they or won’t they romantic aspect. All the pieces were there. Great writing, excellent leads, superb supporting cast, good mysteries and romance. I can see and hear Dave and Maddie talking over each other as I type this. Season three is considered by many as the best of the five seasons for this show. The set includes all 15 episodes on four discs including Atomic Shakespeare or what you might remember as The Taming of the Shrew episode.
