8 Mile (Widescreen Edition)Tonight is pretty much about the Academy Awards and nothing else as everything else is a bunch of repeats or movies being shown. Will you be watching the Academy Awards tonight? Do you really care who wins or loses? Do you just want to see if Jon Stewart does well as the host? I am in the camp of don’t really care but will tune in a bit at least for the opening to see how Stewart does?

Prime Picks

Academy Awards (ABC): Jon Stewart Hosts. The broadcast starts at 5:00 p.m. Pacific and 8:00 p.m. Eastern. Followed by An Evening at the Academy Awards: The Winners where Roger Ebert and others with interview winners at celebrations following the ceremony. The arrivals and such start about two hours before the ceremony begins.

Solid Selections

Criminal Minds (CBS): Repeat where the team is after a serial arsonist on a college campus. If you are not interested in the movie awards stuff then you should check this out, as it was a pretty good episode of a pretty good show.

Cold Case (CBS): Repeat where a 2001 case of a murdered deli owner is reopened. This was also a really good episode of this show.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS): Repeat where toxic mold, an auto show and a body builder are all part of different investigations.

Other Options

8 Mile (WB): Starts 30 minutes before normal primetime hours and runs for two and a half hours. Eminem stars in the semi-autobiographical story of a young man growing on the streets of Detroit.

Crossing Jordan (NBC): Repeat where Jordan gets trapped in an old mine with the two children she is trying to help locate.

Cable Choices

Emeril Live (Food Network): Repeat about BBQ.

Iron Chef America (Food Network): Iron Chef Bobby Flay against Chef Beau.

The Shield (FX): Repeat of Kavanaugh from earlier this week. Runs 67 minutes.
