The Major League Baseball season kicks off or should I say throws out the first pitch of the new season tonight on ESPN2. The ladies finish play of the first major on the LPGA tour while the guys finish the tune up before their first major next week. The Women’s Final Four play out tonight on ESPN. Hopefully the games will be more entertaining than the men’s. In non-sports news if you missed Thief on F/X it repeats tonight. What will you be watching tonight on TV?
Prime Picks
The West Wing (NBC): It is election night and Josh is stressing over election returns but figures a way to let off some steam. C.J. mulls over future job offers. This is also the episode where Leo bids farewell.
Desperate Housewives (ABC): Lynette has to give a deposition regarding Bree’s drinking and Gaby and Carlos find out the truth about the baby.
Grey’s Anatomy (ABC): George start to wear out his welcome, Bailey gets back into surgery and Meredith finds out something about her father.
Solid Selections
Cold Case (CBS): A theater owner finds an old bullet in some props and a case gets reopened involving a cabaret singer who was murdered.
Law & Order: Criminal Intent (NBC): Repeat with Goren and Eames investigating a group headed up by guest star Michael York. This was a pretty good episode.
Crossing Jordan (NBC): Repeat with guest star Alicia Coppola, as a serial killer copycat and Jordan and Woody have to talk to the original to try and solve the case. This too was a pretty good episode.
Other Options
The Simpsons (FOX): Grampa becomes a bullfighter after messing up Homer’s idea for getting a professional football team in Springfield.
The Loop (FOX): Repeat of the second episode of this show, which other than the amusing sophomoric humor of the opening scene is pretty bad and not very funny.
Cold Case (CBS): Repeat where the team reopens the case of a murdered man in a small town.
CSI: NY (CBS): Repeat where Mac must choose between going after a shooter or saving his victim.
Cable Choices
The Next Food Network Star (Food Network): Repeat of the 2nd elimination episode from last week.
The Next Food Network Star (Food Network): Another contestant is eliminated after they all get to work with Giada De Laurentiis.
Thief (F/X): Repeat of the pilot episode from Tuesday night. This is a pretty interesting show. They sure set up a lot of stuff in the first episode. It moves a little slow and really tries to push the drama but now that all the characters have been setup maybe the remaining five episodes will be good. This show is completely different in manor and tone from Heist on NBC and Hustle on AMC.
