The Sentinel - The Complete First SeasonThe Sentinel – The Complete First Season
The Sentinel was a UPN action detective show that starred Richard Burgi, now Susan’s ex on Desperate Housewives, as a cop with special abilities. These abilities allowed him to see in the dark, smell things nobody else could and hear voices and radios at a distance. All his senses are heightened. He had spent many years in the Peruvian jungle with the Special Forces where he got these abilities. Five years after his return to regular life they returned. He is helped by a local anthropology student who tells him about ancient Peruvian tribes that had what they called “Sentinels.” They used their powers to protect the village. The student becomes his aid and helps him learn how to deal with these new abilities as they develop. The DVD set includes all 10 first season episodes on three discs. This show was a lot of fun to watch.
