Tonight we heard the Idol hopefuls sing love songs. Andrea Bocelli and producer David Foster helped them this week. Mr. Foster pulled no punches and told them exactly what he thought and tried to point them in the right direction. This included getting Chris to sing while lying down so he could see what it was like to sing with his diaphragm. Chris was surprised at how well it worked.
The judges didn’t really like the song choices this week. I thought they were mostly pretty good. This was another week were I thought that Chris might struggle. He didn’t and had one of the best performances of the night.
So how did the performances last night on American Idol rank:
So who will end up in the bottom three? I think it should be Taylor, Paris and Kellie with the Pickler heading back home to find someone to “play pottery†with. As has been shown anyone can be sent packing at anytime on American Idol.
How about you, who do you think will be leaving American Idol Season 5 tonight? Who do you think will make up the bottom three? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
Did you know that it is TV Turn-Off Week? I didn’t until I saw it mentioned over at TVSquad in a post. They should really put this like in the middle of July or something. Who out there that watches TV is going to stop watching their favorite shows in the final weeks of the season? Most shows are down to four or less episodes until the season is over. How about some other things we should stop for a week and spend more time outside or with the family. Stop reading the newspaper. Wait a lot of people are already doing that one. How about stop reading books. Have you seen how much time people suck up sitting by themselves reading? Maybe we should stop using our computers or no Xbox or Playstation for a week. I got it, no radio for a week. What movement do you want to start? What should we stop doing for a week? What will you be watching tonight on TV?

The Best Of Bizarre Vol.3
The Best Of Bizarre Vol.4
John Byner hosted this sketch comedy show that aired on CTV and Showtime back in the 80s. I must have watched it on Showtime. The main thing I remember from the show is Super Dave Osborne. Always trying his latest stunt to no avail. The sketches were some of the most outrageous spoofs you will ever see. Nothing and no one was immune. It was like a live action TV Funhouse from Saturday Night Live. The way they poked fun at race, religion, celebrities and the like. You would be watching it and not believing that they just did that. If you like sketch comedy that is actually funny then check out The Best of Bizarre. Each volume has 10 episodes from the show, uncut and uncensored, on one disc picked by the shows producers Allan Blye and Bob Einstein.
Inspector Gadget: The Original Series
This was one of my favorite cartoons growing up. It was a cross between Mission Impossible and James Bond except Inspector Gadget was a cross between Maxwell Smart and Inspector Clouseau. He bumbled his way through each investigation given to him by Chief Quimby. If it were not for his niece Penny and her trusty dog Brain, he would have never solved the caper and foiled another M.A.D. plot by Dr. Claw. The best part of the show was all the built in gadgets that never seemed to work, as he wanted. Rollerskate shoes, helicopter out of his hat, extendo legs and arms and don’t forget the Gadget Mobile. Q and the Aston Martin had nothing on this vehicle. The DVD set has 22 episodes on four discs that includes a featurette retrospective.
