Tonight the summer TV season gets an early start with the return of Last Comic Standing on NBC and Rescue Me on FX. ABC is burning off episodes of half hour comedies still in the bank while The WB does the same with Pepper Dennis. What will you be watching tonight on TV?

Boston Legal (CBS): Repeat. In the episode Tom Selleck guest stars as an ex of Shirley’s who is getting married but wants her back.

Rescue Me (FX): New. The third season of this Denis Leary vehicle kicks off tonight with a 64-minute episode that repeats again right after.

- Commando (Spike): The 1985 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie where he blows a lot of stuff up. Also stars a young Alyssa Milano (Charmed, Who’s the Boss) as his daughter.
