Rescue MeTonight the summer TV season gets an early start with the return of Last Comic Standing on NBC and Rescue Me on FX. ABC is burning off episodes of half hour comedies still in the bank while The WB does the same with Pepper Dennis. What will you be watching tonight on TV?

Prime Picks

Last Comic Standing (NBC): New. Now hosted by Anthony Clark (Yes, Dear) the fourth season of the comic competition kicks off tonight. Runs two hours.

Boston Legal (CBS): Repeat. In the episode Tom Selleck guest stars as an ex of Shirley’s who is getting married but wants her back.

Solid Selections

Gilmore Girls (WB): Repeat. It is Valentine’s Day in this rebroadcast from season six.

Pepper Dennis (WB): New. It is new and that is good enough at this time of year.

48 Hours Mystery (CBS): New. If you already saw the repeats at least this is new.

Cable Choices

Wrecks to Riches (TLC): New. Nine months of work is starting to take its toll on Barry and the team.

Grill Girls (Food Network): New. Get a look at women who like to cook on the grill.

Rescue Me (FX): New. The third season of this Denis Leary vehicle kicks off tonight with a 64-minute episode that repeats again right after.

Other Options

  • Rodney (ABC): New. ABC continues to burn of unaired episodes of this canceled half hour comedy.
  • Less than Perfect (ABC): New. ABC continues to burn of unaired episodes of this canceled half hour comedy.
  • Kathy Griffin: Sneak Peek (Bravo): New. Get a look at the upcoming season of Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List that starts June 5th.
  • Commando (Spike): The 1985 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie where he blows a lot of stuff up. Also stars a young Alyssa Milano (Charmed, Who’s the Boss) as his daughter.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has Tuesday Night Baseball with the Chicago White Sox at the Cleveland Indians.
  • ESPN2 has WNBA Basketball with the New York Liberty at the Indiana Fever.
  • OLN has NHL Hockey playoffs with Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals with the Carolina Hurricanes at the Buffalo Sabres.
  • TNT has NBA Basketball with Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals with the Dallas Mavericks at the Phoenix Suns.

Note: Tonight on the Tube changes up a bit with the Other Options and Sports Notes categories becoming lists of shows or events that may be of interest but are in no particular order. The Prime Picks continues to be your best bet for each of the three hours of primetime network TV. Solid Selections is still the second best. Cable Choices is your three best bets on cable.
