Blue Collar TV: Season 1, Vol. 2Last night felt like a let down after all the premieres on Sunday and Monday nights. Well tonight is a let down as there is nothing of any standout quality. ABC burns off the last Commander In Chief episode while The WB continues burning off Blue Collar TV. On cable there is both celebrity and professional poker being played. What will you be watching?

Prime Picks

Blue Collar TV (WB): Repeat. The comedy bits are inspired by the topic of shopping.
Blue Collar TV (WB): New. See what the Blue Collar guys have to say on the topic of dating.

Lost (ABC): Repeat. Jack, Locke and Kate find out more about the hatch while Jin, Michael and Sawyer try to figure out who has them in a hole. Runs 61 minutes.

Commander In Chief (ABC): Series Finale. The series comes to an end tonight as Mac sees the possibility of passing an equal rights amendment and ends up in a debate with Templeton. This show is an example of taking a promising idea, coming up with a descent show and then running it into the ground and killing it off with too many changes, timeslot moves and postponements.

Solid Selections

AFI 100 Years … 100 Cheers (CBS): New. This three hour show focuses on what 1500 leaders in the film community chose to be the 100 most inspiring films. Clips and comments by actors accompany the clips.

Cable Choices

Drew Carey’s Sporting Adventures (Travel Channel): Repeat. Rerun of the debut episode of this show with Drew visiting Spain to take in a soccer match, a new episode airs tomorrow.

Celebrity Poker Showdown (Bravo): New. Tonight from New Orleans Fred Savage, Jennifer Tilly, Brett Butler, Doug E. Doug and a contest winner compete bragging rights and their favorite charities. Runs two hours. Last weeks episode plays right before.

Other Options

  • So You Think You Can Dance (FOX): New. The top twenty selected compete tonight as couples. Runs two hours.
  • World Poker Tour (Travel Channel): New. See the final table from Foxwood’s New England Poker Classic. Runs two hours.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has Wednesday Night Baseball with the New York Mets at the Philadelphia Phillies and earlier in the day they have the Milwaukee Brewers at the Cincinnati Reds.
  • ESPN2 has Wednesday Night Fights and three World Cup Soccer matches starting early in the morning.
  • NBC has Game 5 of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals with the Edmonton Oilers facing elimination as they are down three games to one to the Carolina Hurricanes.
