Spike TV unleashes their first foray into scripted television tonight with the two-hour series premiere of Blade: The Series. Hustle returns to AMC tonight for some more long con action. The Secret Life Of … (Food Network): Repeat. Find out the history of pancakes.
Sugar Rush (Food Network): Repeat. Look-a-like sweets are looked at.
Hustle (AMC): New. Season Premiere. Season 3 begins tonight with the gang coming back from a trip to Las Vegas and needing another job to get back on their feet financially. Runs 75 minutes. Gets the nod over the new Blade series on Spike because I haven’t seen that and the last couple seasons of this show were very good.

- Celebrity Poker Showdown (Bravo): New. Tonight Christopher Meloni from L&O: SVU, Joy Behar from The View, Andy Dick from Less Than Perfect, singer Macy Gray, and Robin Tenney from Prison Break all compete for their favorite charities at the Harrah’s in New Orleans. Runs two hours. Last week’s episode airs right before.
- Blade: The Series (Spike): Series Premiere. The comic book character brought to life on the big screen by Wesley Snipes gets the small screen treatment with a two-hour pilot episode tonight. The series I think is supposed to take place in the time frame before the events of the movie trilogy. We find Blade heading to Detroit to investigate a clan of vampires in the opener. This is the first scripted show for Spike TV.
- World Poker Tour (Travel Channel): New. The WPT Championship Season IV is played in Las Vegas. Runs two hours.

- ESPN has the 2006 NBA Draft with the New York Yankees playing the Atlanta Braves earlier in the day.
- ESPN2 has Wednesday Night Baseball with the New York Mets at the Boston Red Sox followed by Wednesday Night Fights with a heavyweight bout and coverage of Wimbledon tennis earlier in the day.
