Helping You Find the Prime in Primetime
Do you want to be a superhero? Well tonight eleven people get their shot at just that. Actually they get to create a superhero and have a comic book and movie made of it. That would be pretty cool. From what I have seen and read about it the couple that sound interesting are Fat Momma and Cell Phone Girl. Any of them sound like superheroes to you?

The blue collar guys take on sinning on The WB while on NBC they are still trying to see if America’s Got Talent. Killer Whirlpools are investigated by the MythBusters on Discovery Channel while the gang in Britain cons a bad newspaperman in Hustle over on AMC. Still don’t understand why a British TV show is on the American Movie Classics channel. It is neither American nor a movie and since it is new that makes it hard to be one of the classics. It fails on all three fronts. It ranks right up there with ECW professional wrestling on the Sci Fi Channel. At least it meets half the criteria, as it is fiction just not of the science variety. What other shows don’t make since on the channel they are being shown?
Blue Collar TV (WB): New. The topic of the day is “Sinning.â€
Blue Collar TV (WB): Repeat. The topic of “Aging†is covered.
Criminal Minds (CBS): Repeat. The team investigates a possible serial killer after a police officer is taken captive.

Quite a good mixture of TV on DVD titles released today, a bit of animation, some comedy and some action drama. The first season of JAG, the first two seasons of Miami Vice and the fourth season of La Femme Nikita should keep any action drama show lover glued to their tube. Will you be one of them?

JAG (Judge Advocate General) - The Complete First Season
This was always one of my favorite shows. When NBC cancelled it I was a bit disappointed but then CBS picked it up and it seem to run forever. The show had a little bit of everything adding up to an enjoyable watching experience. There was plenty of action, courtroom drama, comic relief, romance and patriotism. This TV on DVD is the complete first season, which includes an unaired episode. That episode had Catherine Bell in a cameo as and old girlfriend of Harm’s. When the show changed networks some episodes had already been filmed but not aired. When Bell was cast as the new female lead on the show CBS decided that it would be confusing to air the “Skeleton Crew†episode. The DVD Set includes all 21 episodes on six discs. Special features include three featurettes with behind the scenes looks at the show and commentary on the two part pilot episode by show creator Donald P. Bellisario.

If you missed The Closer last night on TNT they will be replaying it tonight. Next you will find a truly enjoyable and quirky show in Eureka on Sci Fi. The night is topped off by Rescue Me on FX. On the networks it is much reality on the big three while the other three that are soon to be two have a 2xTuesday night of three of the best shows on TV. Choose between two repeat episodes of House on FOX, Gilmore Girls on The WB or Veronica Mars on UPN. What will you be watching tonight on the tube?
