Last night got the new fall season off to really good start with the return on Prison Break. I was a little less taken with the premiere of Vanished, which you can get a second chance viewing of tonight after a repeat of the House second season finale. If you are looking for information on other new fall shows then check out the Ultimate Guide to the Fall 2006 TV Schedule. What will you be watching tonight?
House (FOX): Repeat. The last season’s finale episode replays tonight where a former patient walks in and shoots House while the team is trying to diagnose a man with a swollen tongue. It was quite possibly the best episode from season two.
Vanished (FOX): Repeat. The pilot episode from last night replays. It looks like most of the mysterious mystery will be setup in episode two. While it was pretty good when Heroes premieres and Two and a Half Men is back this may find it hard to continue drawing an audience unless it gets much better in future episodes. If you missed it last night give it a look and see what you think.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (NBC): Repeat. The detectives investigate a school shooting.
Veronica Mars (UPN): Repeat. Soon this will follow Gilmore Girls on the new The CW this fall. Tonight Veronica is having bad dreams of the students who died in the bus crash.
Veronica Mars (UPN): Repeat. Veronica tries to help a fellow student find who ran over his dog.
Rock Star: Supernova (CBS): New. Those still left in the competition perform.
Dead Like Me (Sci Fi): Repeat. This quirky Showtime Original series continues its play on the Sci Fi Channel.
Eureka (Sci Fi): New. An old timer is asked for help to divert a catastrophe. Plays again later.
Rescues Me (FX): New. It looks like a little “Hell†tonight. Runs 64 minutes and plays twice.
- Gilmore Girls (WB): Repeats. Two episodes tonight where in the second Luke is invited to the Gilmore house for dinner only to get “Gilmored.†The dinner scene includes one of the best stretches of dialogue the entire season.
- Ham on the Street (Food Network): New. Get a new take on the classic sandwich.
- ESPN has Little League World Series play earlier in the day.
- ESPN2 has Little League World Series play followed by a WNBA playoff game.
