The President addresses the nation tonight at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. This will of course impact the primetime schedule a bit depending on your time zone yet it looks like most everything will be shown. Also Monday Night Football begins on ESPN tonight with a doubleheader; see Sports Notes below for more info. The new TV season gets into full gear next Monday with a lot of new shows and returning favorites. Prison Break (FOX): New. Bellick tries to take down Michael and Lincoln with Nika still with them. Kellerman tries to get close to the Sarah.
Vanished (FOX): New. The reporter digs into Sara’s past some more, the Senator is starting to feel some political heat and the FBI interrogates a suspect.
CSI: Miami (CBS): Repeat. Last season’s finale, “One of Our Own,†replays tonight. The new season begins next Monday.
Solid Selections
Two and a Half Men (CBS): Repeat. Alan doesn’t want to leave Jake with Evelyn for a sleepover visit until he ends up on a bus of beautiful volleyball players with Charlie. The new show The Class premieres in this timeslot next week.
How I Met Your Mother (CBS): Repeat. Last season’s finale, “Come On,†replays and the new season starts next week.
Two and a Half Men (CBS): Repeat. Last season’s finale, “That Pistol-Packin’ Hermaphrodite,†replays and the new season kicks off next Monday night.
The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS): Repeat. Last season’s finale, “A Fair to Remember – Part 1,†replays with the second part of the episode being the first of the new season which starts next week.
Medium (NBC): Repeat. Last season’s finale, “Twice Upon a Time,†replays tonight. The new series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip premieres next week in this timeslot and Medium as been put on the shelf until midseason unless one of the new shows falters then maybe it will be back sooner.

Emeril Live (Food Network): Repeat. Emeril kicks up some hearty dishes.
Unwrapped (Food Network): Repeats. Get a double dose of fiery foods with back-to-back episodes.
The Secret Life Of … (Food Network): New and Repeat. Get a look at the history of Tex-Mex cooking in the first and in the second get another look at southwestern fair.

- Blade: The Series (Spike): Repeat. Last week’s episode, “Monster,†replays.
- Dark Angel (Sci Fi): Repeats. Four episodes of the series play tonight.
- The Path to 9/11 (ABC): Part 2 of 2. The last two hours of this dramatization of The 9/11 Commission Report. Stars Harvey Keitel, Donnie Walhberg and Patricia Heaton.
- Weeds (Showtime): New. Things are starting to get even crazier if you can believe it.
Sports Notes
- ESPN is all about Monday Night Football. Start the day off with a two-hour special edition of SportsCenter followed by Around the Horn and Pardon the Interuption. Then it is NFL Primetime from last night followed by a two hour Monday Night Countdown. Finally at 7:00 p.m. Eastern the first game of a Monday night doubleheader kicks off with the Minnesota Vikings at the Washington Redskins, which is followed by the second game with the San Diego Chargers at the Oakland Raiders.
