MythBusters: Don't Try This at HomeABC has jumped into the fall fray with last night’s Dancing With the Stars and tonight’s results episode. After that find out what else ABC will have to offer the TV viewer this fall with a couple of preview shows before Jimmy Kimmel invades primetime for a night. For more on the upcoming fall season take a look at the Ultimate Guide to the Fall 2006 TV Schedule.

Prime Picks

Bones (FOX): New. A boy wrapped in a shroud is found near a garbage truck and the team investigates. Brennan’s foster background colors her judgment about the case and she clashes with new boss Cam.

Justice (FOX): New. A bartender in Orange County is arrested for killing a runaway bride. Well so far their first two clients have been acquitted and shown to be the right call, although the last one did pocket the cash on her way out.

Jimmy Kimmel Live’s All-Star Salute to Jimmy Kimmel Live! (ABC): New. Jimmy Kimmel gets his first primetime special. See memorable clips, guest appearances and Cousin Sal, Uncle Frank and Guillermo join in the festivities.

Solid Selections

Dancing With the Stars (ABC): New. The first results are given tonight. Who do you thinks will be leaving? Best bet is Tucker Carlson as I think the Jerry crowd will be able to keep him in for another week. Tom Jones performs.

ABC Sneak Peek: The Dramas (ABC): New. Get a look at all the upcoming new and returning dramas ABC has to offer this fall.
ABC Sneak Peek: Comedy and Reality (ABC): New. See what ABC has in store for you funny bone this fall.

CSI: NY (CBS): Repeat. Last season’s finale, “Charge of This Post,” replays. The new season begins next Wednesday.

Cable Choices

Emeril Live (Food Network): Repeat. Emeril goes gooey and cheesy with some kicked up recipes.

MythBusters (Discovery Channel): New. Some of Hollywood’s biggest movie scenes are put to the reality test to find out Myth or No Myth? Runs two hours.

Other Options

  • Blade: The Series (Spike): Season Finale. I am sure there will be plenty of but kickin’ and vampire killing going on.
  • Hustle (AMC): Repeat. The gang sets out on another long con in this 75-minute episode.
  • I Want That! Tech Toys (HGTV): New. Thirty minutes of cool gadgets that you don’t need but will really want.
  • Professional Poker Tour (Travel Channel): New. First quarter action from the Bay 101 poker tournament. Runs two hours.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has Wednesday Night Baseball with the Detroit Tigers taking on the Texas Rangers and earlier in the day has the Oakland A’s at the Minnesota Twins.

Let me know what you think looks good on TV tonight.
