Tonight on the Tube: Prison Break, Heroes, Studio 60 and Monday Night Football

That includes the return of 7th Heaven and the debut of Runaway tonight. On NBC the much talked about Heroes also debuts tonight. Prime Picks

Prison Break (FOX): New. They may have figured out which house the money is buried under, now they just need to get to it before Mahone gets to them.

Heroes (NBC): Series Premiere. Ordinary people start to discover they have extraordinary abilities. A genetics professor in India figures out that these people exist and wants to know more. This looks very good and will be shown with limited commercial interruptions.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (NBC): New. Matt and Danny have only five days to get a handle on the show before the next broadcast. Jordan stands up for the controversial sketch.

Solid Selections

The Class (CBS): New. Last week’s premiere was terrible. We shall see what they do with the second. Mostly something to keep you busy until How I Met Your Mother comes on next.
How I Met Your Mother (CBS): New. Lily has returned from San Francisco and Robin knows why.

Runaway (The CW): Series Premiere. A man is falsely accused of murder and goes on the run with his family until he can figure out what is going on and who framed him. They take on a new identity in a small town. Think of it as The Fugitive with a family.

CSI: Miami (CBS): New. Calleigh is run off the road into a canal after collecting evidence at a crime scene of a fallen undercover ATF agent. This makes all her evidence invalid and the team must find another way to solve the crime.

Cable Choices

Dark Angel (Sci Fi): Repeats. Five hours of Jessica Alba kicking ass including the series ender and the two-hour “Pilot.”

  • The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS): New. See Scott Bakula guest stars as a stranger who goes out on a date with Christine.
  • The Secret Life Of … (Food Network): New. See the history of movie treats.
  • Two and a Half Men (CBS): New. Charlie tells Alan about his break up with Mia and Steven Tyler guest stars.
  • Vanished (FOX): New. The Senator is urge by his ex to take a position on the Supreme Court nomination while Agent Kelton continues the investigation.
  • Weeds (Showtime): New. Celia looks like she will take the election over Doug for the City Council seat.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has Monday Night Football with the Atlanta Falcons at the New Orleans Saints from the newly refurbished Superdome in New Orleans.
