Tonight on the Tube: Prison Break, Heroes, Studio 60 and CBS Comedies

Some good news from Pickuptown as Studio 60 and What About Brian have been picked up for the season by their respective networks. This is good news for fans of these shows. The rumor mill is still putting out that Studio 60 may be moving to another timeslot but nothing has been officially reported. NBC will however, this week, be announcing a new lineup for their network. So we should know soon where shows are going to be for the foreseeable future, which isn’t that far in these days in TV land. What do you think of these two pickups? Prime Picks

Prison Break (FOX): New. Michael tries to acquire a plane for the getaway and Sara has to deal with Kellerman while Mahone figures out another piece of the puzzle.

Heroes (NBC): New. Suresh is questioning what his future will entail after dreaming of the past. Hiro and Ando meet another interesting person at a diner. Last week’s episode plays on the Sci Fi Channel.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (NBC): New. Part 2 of 2 where they are still trying to get Tom out of jail and back for the show. Meanwhile Matt has to handle things back at the studio. NBC last week picked the show up for the entire season.

How I Met Your Mother (CBS): New. Looks like things for Lily and Marshall are back to normal and then some with a trip to Atlantic City.
The Class (CBS): New. Ethan is exposed as not being Dan at a function for a former classmate.

Two and a Half Men (CBS): New. Jake wants Charlie to not date the mother of a girl he is sweet on.
The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS): New. Ritchie’s school is increasing the tuition and Christine and Richard have to figure out how to pay for it.

CSI: Miami (CBS): New. There is a murder and a kidnapping and the CSI are called in on the case. As they investigate they find many pictures of missing women in a safe.

Emeril Live (Food Network): Repeat. Get ready for Thanksgiving with some classic recipes.

Thanksgiving Unwrapped (Food Network): Repeat. Get a look behind the making and producing of some of your favorite holiday foods.

The Secret Life Of … (Food Network): Repeat. Find out the history of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Other Options

• American Chopper (Discovery Channel): New. A second bike for Lugz is made.
• Threshold (Sci Fi): Repeats. Three of the eight episodes of the cancelled CBS series from last season play.
• What About Brian (ABC): New. There is a funeral for Angelo and now that Zap Monkey has folded Brian’s dad wants to know what he is going to do now. ABC has given the show a full season order so the continue adventures of Brian and crew will be around for a while.

• ESPN has Monday Night Football with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Carolina Panthers.
• ESPN2 has preseason college basketball tournament play.
