Veronica Mars - The Complete Second SeasonFriday Night Lights, which is not on tonight because of the Tony Bennett special, has been picked up to the entire season but may be moving to Sunday nights in January after the football season ends. In other good news Veronica Mars has been picked up for the entire season as well. It will only run 20 episodes instead of 22 but it will be sticking around.

Prime Picks

NCIS (CBS): New. McGee’s sister shows up at his place bloody and disoriented. He takes matters into his own hands even though it is against NCIS policy.

House (FOX): New. An 18 year old who had a heart attack it the challenge of the week for the team.

3 LBS (CBS): New. The treatment for a patient may hurt the woman’s unborn child.

Solid Selections

Standoff (FOX): New. Emily and Matt save a woman from a hostage situation and then it looks like she becomes a stalker of Matt.

Veronica Mars (The CW): New. The night before the big vote about the having the Greek system on campus at Hearst College the woman with the swing vote disappears. Patricia Hearst plays the woman who goes missing.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (NBC): New. Two foster children are in a car accident and the investigation the foster parents.

Cable Choices

Dead Like Me (Sci Fi): Repeat. The second of two episodes has George deciding that she needs friends.

Eureka (Sci Fi): Repeat. The “Blink” episode replays.

Nip/Tuck (FX): New. The episode is “Diana Lubey” and it runs 65 minutes and plays twice.

Other Options

  • Gilmore Girls (The CW): New. Her mother invites Rory to dinner so she can tell her that she married her father. Logan is starting an Internet company.
  • The Hungry Detective (Food Network): New. The food of Chicago is explored.
  • Overhaulin’ (TLC): New. The gang redoes a car while putting one over on the owner.
  • The Unit (CBS): New. Jonas gets in some trouble in Latin America where he is on a mission.

  • ESPN has more from the EA Sports Maui Invitational college basketball tournament.
  • ESPN2 has college football with Bowling Green at Toledo followed by college basketball.
  • NBA TV has the Los Angeles Clippers at the Los Angeles Lakers in NBA action tonight.
