Download Prison Break Episodes at iTunesPrison Break is the second of three primetime shows to be taking a break until sometime next year. Lost on ABC has already done so and Jericho on CBS will soon be also. What do you think of cutting a season up into two parts? USA has been doing it for a while now with Monk and other shows. Prison Break did it last season and 24 starts in January now so they can run straight through. I have to say I don’t like the wait necessarily but I do like the continuity of weekly episodes without reruns of serialized shows like these. What do you think?

Prime Picks

Prison Break (FOX): Fall Finale. Will Mahone shoot one or both of the brothers? What will happen to Bellick after his arrest? Will T-Bag find the woman who turned him in? All these questions and more will probably not be answered, as this is the fall cliffhanger. No more episodes until next year. The date of these new episodes seems yet to be determined by FOX. It was, I think, scheduled to come back in March but may be back as early as late January.

Heroes (NBC): New. Well the cheerleader was saved but they didn’t really let you in on how that might save the world like they promised in the promos. This week NBC promos are promising even more. Will they be answered? Probably not as this show should be watched and enjoyed and if you see a promo hit the mute button or change the channel because they only do a disservice to the viewing audience. If you want to see last week’s episode, “Homecoming,” it can be seen tonight on the Sci Fi Channel. Tonight we jump back in time with Hiro and Mohinder starts his quest to find the people on his father’s list. Runs 61 minutes.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (NBC): New. The cast is dropping like flies as a virus makes its way around the studio. Matt tries writing the show with his new smaller writing staff.

Solid Selections

How I Met Your Mother (CBS): New. Wayne Brady guest stars as Barney’s brother in this episode where Barney realizes that everyone else has settled into a relationship.
The Class (CBS): New. Richie really shouldn’t be allowed behind the wheel.

Two and a Half Men (CBS): New. Charlie has to choose between his mother like girlfriend and his housekeeper Berta while Alan tries to sell Kandi’s condo but something keeps getting in the way.
The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS): New. Christine and Barb are now partners in the women’s gym and are disagreeing over how to run the place.

CSI: Miami (CBS): New. A Marine recruiter is murdered and the team must dig deep into how the military recruits to find the perpetrator.

Cable Choices

Emeril Live (Food Network): Repeat. Emeril kicks up some holiday recipes.

Unwrapped (Food Network): New. See how some of your favorite holiday treats are made.

The Secret Life Of … (Food Network): Repeat. The history of Christmas food is profiled.

Other Options

  • American Eats (History Channel): Repeat. Get the history of holiday foods.
  • Threshold (Sci Fi): Repeats and New. It looks like two of the four episodes tonight have never been aired before. See what you would have seen had CBS not cancelled the show so early.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has Monday Night Football with the Green Bay Packers at my hometown Seattle Seahawks. It looks like Brett Favre is going to play and that a bunch of injured Hawks will be back out on the field tonight. Go Seahawks!
  • Versus has NHL action with the New Jersey Devils at the Los Angeles Kings.
