Tonight on the Tube: Ugly Betty, Friday Night Lights, Bowl Games and TV Show Marathons

Friday Night Lights TV PosterABC has a mini marathon of Ugly Betty episodes but on cable you will find a few TV show marathons. The best of today’s bunch is the Friday Night Lights marathon on Bravo. They are playing all 10 of the episodes so far from this season. This is a show definitely worth checking out. It is one of the best new shows of the season and one that will be sticking around for the entire season. Come back tomorrow for a complete listing of all the New Year’s Eve TV marathons and again on New Year’s Day for what will probably be a whole bunch more. Ugly Betty (ABC): Repeats. Tonight you will find three episodes of this fun show. If you haven’t yet checked it out here is your chance. In the first episode Betty is sent to check out a new posh hotel. In the second Betty has a hard time putting together a photo shoot on the day after Thanksgiving. In the third Betty has to deal with Amanda going after her job.

Solid Selections

CSI: NY (CBS): Repeat. A model collapse on the runway and dies and the team must determine if it was the body paint she was wearing or something else that did her in.

Without a Trace (CBS): Repeat. Jack heads to Tokyo to find a dishonorably discharged soldier who has gone missing after getting out of jail.

Law & Order (NBC): Repeat. McCoy puts his career in jeopardy when he uses a corrupt DEA agent to help him lure a murderer.

Cable Choices

The Bad Boys of Saturday Night Live (E!): Repeat. Hosted by the “Roxbury Guys” and features clips of past SNL cast members.

Saturday Night Live (E!): Repeat. The tribute episode for Chris Farley with clips of some of his best sketches.

  • ESPN has a college bowl game tripleheader with Boston College vs. Navy in the Meineke Car Care Bowl then Iowa vs. Texas in the Alamo Bowl followed by Georgia vs. Virginia Tech in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.
  • ESPN2 has a college basketball quadrupleheader with Georgetown at Michigan then Connecticut at West Virginia then Missouri State at Creighton followed by Gonzaga vs. Nevada in the Battle in Seattle.
  • NBA TV has the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Chicago Bulls in NBA action.
