Get Heroes Episodes at iTunesHow great is it to have all new episodes tonight. Everything on the five networks is new tonight in primetime. Unfortunately that means some choices have to be made. Will you be watching Heroes or 24? Prison Break or How I Met Your Mother? CSI: Miami or Studio 60? What will be watched and what will your TiVo record? All I know is that many a recording device will be humming along at my place tonight.

Prime Picks

Prison Break (FOX): New. Michael and Lincoln have joined up with Kellerman but are cautious of him. Bellick decides to show that he is still in charge at Fox River.

Heroes (NBC): New. Peter is comatose and Nathan tries to get help from Simone while Hiro and Ando are looking for his sword and a new hero shows up in shocking fashion. Runs 61 minutes.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (NBC): New. The cast is back after the holiday break and they are getting ready for the first new show of the New Year. Danny is hot after Jordan and Matt is bidding for a date with Harriet in and online auction.

Solid Selections

How I Met Your Mother (CBS): New. A nude painting of Marshall is found to which he doesn’t hear the end of it while Barney wants one of his own.
The Class (CBS): New. Palmer wants to slow things down with Ethan after overhearing a phone conversation to see what they actually have in common.

24 (FOX): New. After the events of the past hour, now Jack is Back.

CSI: Miami (CBS): New. The bomb squad is called in to diffuse a landmine while Delko is being sued.

Cable Choices

Wildfire (ABC Family): New. After Kris has her trailer burn down she must move in with the Ritters. A new Lincoln Heights plays right before this episode of Wildfire, which plays again later tonight.

Unwrapped (Food Network): New. See how some of your favorite snack foods are made before you sit in front of your TV eating them.
Unwrapped (Food Network): Repeat. Meals that are hand held are shown.

The Secret Life Of … (Food Network): New. The history of cheese is explored.
The Secret Life Of … (Food Network): Repeat. The history of French fries is explored.

Other Options

  • Emeril Live (Food Network): New. Emeril cooks up some multicultural cuisine.
  • The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS): New. It is all about Christine, as she wants credit for making Richard into a good boyfriend and for telling New Christine what a good gift for his birthday would be.
  • Two and a Half Men (CBS): New. Charlie harkens back to his childhood when Jake tells he and Alan that he can hear is mom and Herb going at it from his bedroom.
  • What About Brian (ABC): New. Marjorie has returned to throw a wrench in the works while Nicole is thinking of getting a nanny or in this case a good looking manny.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has a college basketball doubleheader and then later Gonzaga at Portland.
  • ESPN2 has the quarterfinals from the Australian Open tennis tournament.
  • NBA TV has the Memphis Grizzlies at the Denver Nuggets.

TV Marathons

Bravo has seven episodes from the fall of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip to get you ready for the shows return tonight.
History Channel has 12 episodes of Digging for the Truth during the day before a new 2-hour episode tonight.
Sci Fi Channel has eight episodes of Stargate Atlantis.

I think tonight’s Wildfire will be the one where the sparks start for Matt and Kris.
