Tonight on the Tube: The Office, Grey’s Anatomy, Men in Trees and American Chopper

Get CSI Episodes at Amazon UnboxExcept for the first hour of primetime on CBS everything is new tonight on network TV. Thursday has become a superior night of television. My Beyond TV DVR setup will be recording away, as usual tonight, as each Prime Pick, Solid Selection and Other Option will be watched or recorded and watched down the road at some point. That leaves the CSI repeat on CBS and ‘Til Death and The War at Home on FOX in the first hour, Supernatural on The CW in the second hour and ER on NBC in the third hour of primetime as the shows that won’t be getting watched. What do you watch and/or record on Thursday nights?

Prime Picks

My Name Is Earl (NBC): New. Earl makes up for torturing a foreign exchange student back in school by flying him to America to show him why it is great.
The Office (NBC): New. Michael acknowledges Phyllis’ wedding shower by bringing in a couple of stripper to the office while Karen confronts Pam about her and Jim’s past.

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC): New. All the docs are competing for the affections of Richard while a surgical patient is endangering everyone she comes in contact with. Meredith’s mother comes out of her Alzheimer’s cloud at least for a little while. Runs 63 minutes.

Men in Trees (ABC): New. Marin goes on a ski trip with her publisher and tries being just one of the guys while Jack takes Lynn to a sonogram appointment.

Solid Selections

Smallville (The CW): New. A little kryptonite in your lipstick and Clark becomes the guy you have to have, at least for Lois that is what happens. Meanwhile Clark decides that breaking up Lex and Lana’s wedding would be a good idea.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS): New. Nick and Keppler work together on a case and I am sure things go completely smooth after last week’s case got under Nick’s skin.

Shark (CBS): New. The team prosecutes the murder of a despised land developer while Stark puts a bodyguard on his daughter without her knowing.

Cable Choices

Emeril Live (Food Network): Repeat. This recently aired episode replays where Emeril whips up some football inspired recipes that were sent in from viewers.

American Chopper (TLC): New. The guys start building a bike for Go Daddy but a direction for the project can’t be agreed upon.

Throwdown With Bobby Flay (Food Network): Repeat. Bobby competes in an ice cream battle.
Ace of Cakes (Food Network): New. A Scottish wedding gets a cow cake.

Other Options

  • 30 Rock (NBC): New. Paul Reubens (Pee-wee’s Playhouse) plays a prince and Liz accompanies Jack to a black tie dinner for him.
  • The O.C. (FOX): New. Julie is trying to work a plan to get Ryan and his dad together while she is still planning on marrying Bullit.
  • Scrubs (NBC): New. The staff of Sacred Heart is questioning Dr. Kelso’s dedication while a patient gets a political debate going amongst the staff.
  • Ugly Betty (ABC): New. It is Fashion Week and Betty is running all over to make sure things go well for Mode. Katharine McPhee, the runner up on last season’s American Idol, guest stars.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has a college basketball doubleheader with Duke at Virginia in the second game.
  • ESPN has a college basketball game.
  • TNT has an NBA doubleheader with the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Miami Heat followed by the San Antonio Spurs at the Phoenix Suns.
