Tonight on the Tube: Las Vegas, Numb3rs, Monk and Psych

Download Numb3rs Episodes at Amazon UnboxThere is quite the dearth of programming, after the brimming over with greatness of Thursday nights, here on Friday night. With Las Vegas and Numb3rs on network TV and Monk and Psych on cable there is plenty to watch and enjoy. Yet it just seems like such a let down. What will you be watching tonight?

Prime Picks

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC): Repeat. A very good episode where Meredith’s mother becomes lucid for a while and the new free clinic is opened. Runs 61 minutes. Huh, I wonder where the other two minutes went from last night’s runtime of 63 minutes?

Las Vegas (NBC): New. Ed is trying not to blow a deal while Mike is looking at a new condo and one of Sam’s guests has a little thing for Mary.

Numb3rs (CBS): New. The team investigates a bunch of restaurant robberies only to find what they really want is the credit card numbers of the customers.

Solid Selections

1 vs. 100 (NBC): New. A guy from Colorado takes on a mob of 100 children.

Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials 2007 (CBS): New. Watch as Jim Nantz and Daisy Fuentes show you the 15 best commercial of all time that appeared during a Super Bowl.

Law & Order (NBC): New. Charlotte Ross (NYPD Blue) guest stars as a controversial speaker and during one of her sessions someone fires a gun in the crowd and kills a student.

Cable Choices

Emeril Live (Food Network): Repeat. Emeril whips up some finger foods that are great for serving at parties.

Monk (USA): New. Steven Weber (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip) plays a San Francisco radio shock jock that looks to be the prime suspect in the death of his wife but he appears to have been on the radio at the time of her death. Plays again later.

Psych (USA): New. A naked man shows up at the police station and claims to have been abducted by aliens. Shawn helps with the investigation. Plays again later.

Other Options

  • Giada’s Weekend Getaways (Food Network): New. Favorite spots in New York City are shown.
  • Jake 2.0 (Sci Fi): Repeats. Four episodes of the short-lived UPN show about a guy with enhanced abilities after a lab accident.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has an NBA doubleheader with the New Jersey Nets at the Orlando Magic followed by the Chicago Bulls at the Seattle Sonics.
  • ESPN2 has Friday Night Fights.
