Tonight on the Tube: Friday Night Lights, Heroes, The Wedding Bells and Six Degrees

Friday Night Lights (TV) Framed PosterTonight you may be interested to know that Friday Night Lights will be getting a little extra play on NBC’s sister cable channel Bravo. It will play once each Friday before primetime and on Saturdays, three episodes will play during the afternoon. If you haven’t checked this show out, now is as good a time as any. Don’t worry if you don’t like football. Friday Night Lights is as much about football as Grey’s Anatomy is about surgery. It is just the setting and backdrop for some truly wonderful characters. Speaking of great NBC shows, Heroes, is getting a little extra play, as well, on the Sci Fi Channel. An episode will air in late night after a four episode mini-marathon of The Dresden Files tonight. Then next Friday it will get a little mini-marathon of its own.

Prime Picks

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC): Repeat. Last night’s episode replays where George has to meet his new father in law the day after he got drunk and stupid with Izzie. Alex continues to work with Jane Doe.

The Wedding Bells (FOX): New. The continuing adventures of three sisters who run The Wedding Palace. If you like David E. Kelley shows then you will probably like this as well.

Nothing to get to excited about in the third hour of primetime unless you really like 20/20 on ABC.

Solid Selections

House (FOX): Repeat. The team thinks they have figured out what was poisoning a student until another one comes down with the same symptoms.

Six Degrees (ABC): New. This show was originally on after Grey’s Anatomy, but faltered ratings wise. After a long hiatus it is back with new episodes. It is the story of six people and how their lives intersect in ways they don’t even realize. If you were a fan, here is your chance to continue on with these characters, but unless it were to do incredibly spectacular for a Friday night show, I wouldn’t get your hopes up for another season.

As with above, you could watch 20/20.

Cable Choices

Chefography (Food Network): Repeat. The Rachael Ray episode replays and plays again later.

Chefography (Food Network): Repeat. The Bobby Flay episode replays and plays again later.

Paula’s Party (Food Network): New. Paula Deen cooks up some Fair Food. Episode plays again later.

Other Options

The Dresden Files (Sci Fi): Repeats. Four episodes replay tonight
Monk (USA): Repeat. The defective detective solves another case, as only he can.
What Not to Wear (TLC): New. A woman who wants a career in fashion needs to look like she belongs. Stacey and Clinton help her update her wardrobe. Plays again later.
