The second episodes of The Riches on FX plays in late night. The second season of Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels premieres tonight on A&E. There are also a few TV marathons on cable today.
The Simpsons (FOX): New. Homer somehow ends up taking a photo of a celebrity scandal and decides to join the paparazzi because of it.
King of the Hill (FOX): New. Luann has been asked to the senior prom and is thinking about going after being Lucky leaves her.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (ABC): New. A South Carolina family gets a new home and Hootie and the Blowfish perform.
Desperate Housewives (ABC): Repeat. The one where Gaby wants to get back into modeling and Lynette starts getting suspicious of her new neighbor. Matt Roth played Art Shepherd, the neighbor who Lynette suspected of being a pedophile. He also played a character on Crossing Jordan this season who was being pursued by Jordan for the same thing. Now that is the type of role that I wouldn’t want to get type cast as. He does play the upstanding citizen who is actually a creep quite well.
Brothers & Sisters (ABC): Repeat. Everybody gets to find out why Justin is in therapy when his family comes for a group session at his treatment center.
Emeril Live (Food Network): New. Emeril loves his noodles and shows you some tasty recipes that can be made using them.

Battlestar Galactica (Sci Fi): Season Finale. Baltar’s trial comes to an end and new alliances are starting to form aboard the ship. Plays again later.

As I mentioned yesterday, you can find three episodes of Friday Night Lights in the afternoon on NBC’s sister cable channel Bravo. This is supposed to keep up through the end of the season for the show. If college basketball doesn’t interest you, you will find a few TV marathons listed below for some alternative viewing.
NCAA Tournament (CBS): New. The first four teams from the Elite 8 play today. The first game is (2) Memphis vs. (1) Ohio State followed by (2) UCLA vs. (1) Kansas. The first game starts about 4:30 p.m. Eastern and the second game is scheduled for about 7:00 p.m. Eastern. There is an hour and a half long Road to the Final Four pregame show before the first game.
Celebrity Debuts (ABC): Repeat. See John Travolta, Halle Berry, Felicity Huffman, Kate Winslet and more before they became famous.
Coyote Ugly (ABC): Released 2000. Piper Perabo plays a young woman who heads to New York to follow her dream of being a singer, but ends up working and dancing in a bar. There is plenty of eye candy for the guys in this one. Runs two hours.
Chefography (Food Network): Repeat. The Emeril Lagasse episode replays, as does a few others. See TV Marathons below.
Robin Hood (BBC America): New. Robin and the gang find a baby left in Sherwood Forest while Roy is taken by the Sheriff and told to either kill Robin or watch his mother hang. I wonder what the third option will end up being. Last week’s episode plays right before.
The Riches (FX): Repeat. Last Monday’s episode, “Believe the Lies,†replays and runs 68 minutes.
BBC America has five episodes of Cash in the Attic.

Tonight you may be interested to know that Friday Night Lights will be getting a little extra play on NBC’s sister cable channel Bravo. It will play once each Friday before primetime and on Saturdays, three episodes will play during the afternoon. If you haven’t checked this show out, now is as good a time as any. Don’t worry if you don’t like football. Friday Night Lights is as much about football as Grey’s Anatomy is about surgery. It is just the setting and backdrop for some truly wonderful characters. Speaking of great NBC shows, Heroes, is getting a little extra play, as well, on the Sci Fi Channel. An episode will air in late night after a four episode mini-marathon of The Dresden Files tonight. Then next Friday it will get a little mini-marathon of its own.
Grey’s Anatomy (ABC): Repeat. Last night’s episode replays where George has to meet his new father in law the day after he got drunk and stupid with Izzie. Alex continues to work with Jane Doe.
The Wedding Bells (FOX): New. The continuing adventures of three sisters who run The Wedding Palace. If you like David E. Kelley shows then you will probably like this as well.
Nothing to get to excited about in the third hour of primetime unless you really like 20/20 on ABC.
House (FOX): Repeat. The team thinks they have figured out what was poisoning a student until another one comes down with the same symptoms.
Six Degrees (ABC): New. This show was originally on after Grey’s Anatomy, but faltered ratings wise. After a long hiatus it is back with new episodes. It is the story of six people and how their lives intersect in ways they don’t even realize. If you were a fan, here is your chance to continue on with these characters, but unless it were to do incredibly spectacular for a Friday night show, I wouldn’t get your hopes up for another season.
As with above, you could watch 20/20.
Chefography (Food Network): Repeat. The Rachael Ray episode replays and plays again later.
Chefography (Food Network): Repeat. The Bobby Flay episode replays and plays again later.
Paula’s Party (Food Network): New. Paula Deen cooks up some Fair Food. Episode plays again later.
The Dresden Files (Sci Fi): Repeats. Four episodes replay tonight
Monk (USA): Repeat. The defective detective solves another case, as only he can.
What Not to Wear (TLC): New. A woman who wants a career in fashion needs to look like she belongs. Stacey and Clinton help her update her wardrobe. Plays again later.

There is some good news for fans of Men in Trees, which I am one. The show has been picked up for another season. So, next fall Marin, Jack and the rest of the inhabitants of Elmo will be back. I can’t wait until they bring it back for the rest of this season, but now we will at least know that however it ends, it will be back next season to pick up the story and keep going.
Smallville (The CW): New. Clark and Chloe find out that one of the Zoners is participating in and underground fight club that shows the fights on the Internet.
Grey’s Anatomy (ABC): New. George finally gets to meet his new father-in-law. Alex continues to help Jane Doe, while Izzie deals with a something she finds startling. Runs 61 minutes.
Raines (NBC): New. Raines is working the case of a body found decomposing in the Venice canals. Also, he starts seeing a psychiatrist. The show was kind of fun and way better than October Road over on ABC.
My Name Is Earl (NBC): Repeat. The two episodes where Earl gets Catalina deported and then Randy marries her so she can get back in are replayed tonight with the added bonus of never before seen bloopers from the cast.
Scrubs (NBC): New. Turk’s new baby nanny is hot and the guys try to not notice that fact.
Andy Barker, P.I. (NBC): New. A client of Andy’s dies while playing golf and his wife wants Andy to find out who killed him.
October Road (ABC): New. Nick tries to find out if Hannah’s son is also his son while he also tries to convince the dean at the college to hire him as a professor. Last week’s premiere was one of the worst shows I have seen in a long time. It does have some potential, as some of the cast is quite likeable. We shall see how the rating hold up from last week’s numbers. My guess is that they won’t. What did you think of October Road? I thought the show was “in diapers.†Not because it was just getting started, but because it was full of crap.
Chefography (Food Network): Repeat. Chef Giada DeLuarentiis is profiled.
Chefography (Food Network): New. Chef Mario Batali is profiled.
The Dresden Files (USA): Repeat. The Sci Fi original show gets a play over on sister network USA tonight. Episodes normally air on Sci Fi on Sunday nights before Battlestar Galactica.
Sci Fi Channel has six episodes of the really fun show, Eureka.
