TV Shows on DVD: Kidnapped, NCIS, WKRP in Cincinnati & More

by @ 6:43 pm. Filed under New On Tuesday, TV Shows on DVD

Kidnapped - The Complete Series on DVDIt is time again here on Planet Earth to seek out new and interesting TV shows on DVD. This week’s list promised to have more than just Dogfights and other Shameless TV offerings. The list was under the protection of the U.S. Navy at the Bangor Submarine Base near Bremerton, WA until Ed, Edd n’ Eddy stole it during a preparedness drill for a Tsunami. The Aftermath was that the list was gone and also that Petty Officer Flipper, who was on guard duty, had been Kidnapped. NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigate Service was called in and they sent Special Agent Columbo to find the missing officer and the list of TV shows on DVD. While having The Drew Carrey Show him around the crime scene, he found a note telling them they had 24 hours to meet their demands or the officer would be killed and the list destroyed. Just then, he was notified of a cryptic message that a moment ago had been broadcast on WKRP in Cincinnati. He thought it The Odd Couple of things to take and even weirder yet, to use a radio station in Ohio to leave a clue. Why steal both the TV Show DVD list and abduct a dolphin? He dispatched one of his agents to decode the transmission ASAP, as they now had less than One Day at a Time when every second counts. Using a top-secret computer, codenamed “Ironside,” the message was decoded. It said, “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” Right then, he new it was his arch nemesis, Moral Orel, as he was the only person still alive who new of the time he was held in solitary darkness for days after his Marine unit was captured years earlier. Orel and his minions were hunted down, the Petty Officer was found unhurt and the TV show DVD list was procured safely and then posted for all to see.

What new TV show on DVD offerings this week will you be adding to your collection?

Tonight on the Tube: American Idol, House, Boston Legal and The Shield

by @ 5:19 am. Filed under Tonight on the Tube

The Medical Science of House, M.D.The next one gets chosen tonight on the season finale of Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll. The best part about that is that the show is done and Veronica Mars will be back with new episodes starting next week. U2’s Bono gives tutelage to the Top 6 tonight on American Idol. That has to be one of the all time biggest gets for a mentor the show has ever had. Will you be watching tonight?

Prime Picks

American Idol (FOX): New. The Top 6 performs songs of hope and inspiration with guest mentor Bono. Tonight is the first night of “Idol Gives Back” where your votes will do more than just put your favorite through to next week.

House (FOX): New. A young scammer passes out while working a card trick and Foreman thinks it is because of drug use. In other news, Cuddy and Wilson go on date.

Boston Legal (ABC): New. Alan is once again going up against Jerry Espenson in a truly weird case of a woman suing a store for selling pornographic dolls to children. Denny says something stupid and Paul and Shirley must figure out what to do with him.

Solid Selections

NCIS (CBS): New. Gibbs and his team have to act when the director meets with an informant and things don’t go as planned.

The Unit (CBS): New. Bob has to make a difficult decision while out in the field and Mack makes a bad choice when he thinks his wife is cheating on him.

Cold Case (CBS): Repeat. Disc Jockey in 1958 was killed and the team reopens the case when they get new direction.

Cable Choices

Jake 2.0 (Sci Fi): Three episodes play tonight before wrestling, which makes no sense on the Sci Fi Channel. Well, the fiction part, not so much the science.

The Shield (FX): New. Claudette gives Vic a way to keep his position at the Barn. Runs 66 minutes and plays twice with an episode of The Riches playing in between.

Tonight on the Tube: Falcon Beach, Drive, Heroes, 24 and Diner Food

by @ 3:21 am. Filed under Tonight on the Tube

Download Heroes Episodes at iTunesHeroes is back with a new episode, finally and The Real Wedding Crashers premieres right after it. On Food Network, primetime is all about diners, drive-ins and dives or just plain good old-fashioned American food found in roadside eateries and cafes around the country. The sixth season of Waking the Dead premieres tonight on BBC America. They advertise it as better than Cold Case. I haven’t seen it before, have you? What did you think of it?

Prime Picks

Drive (FOX): New. It looks like there is “No Turning Back” tonight as Alex and Corinna get a chance to go ahead of the other drivers. So, what do you think is going to play on the drive-in screen?

Heroes (NBC): New. Yay! It is finally back with the final 5 episodes of the season. Sylar is still on a rampage and Nathan is figuring out what to do with what Linderman told him. Can’t wait.

CSI: Miami (CBS): New. The mistress of a divorcee is found murdered and the team investigates, but bodies keep stacking up as they go deeper into the case.

Solid Selections

How I Met Your Mother (CBS): Repeat. This is one of the best episodes of this show that replays tonight. If you missed “Robin Sparkles” the first time, here is your chance to see it. If you have already seen it, then you know what I am talking about. The music video is one of the funniest things I have seen on TV this season.
The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS): New. Even thought Christine manages to stay sober at a friend’s wedding, she still lets loose with a secret that she shouldn’t have.

24 (FOX): New. CTU is now on the hunt for Jack while VP Daniels is about to address the nation.

The Real Wedding Crashers (NBC): Series Premiere. Watch as the wedding couple punks everyone at their wedding.

Cable Choices

Kyle XY (ABC Family): Repeat. The first season replay continues. Plays again later. A new episode of Falcon Beach plays right before.

Unwrapped (Food Network): New and Repeat. The new episode is all about hamburgers and the replay episode is about drive-ins. They play again later.

The Riches (Food Network): New. When they learn of Earl’s death, a grieving Dahlia and the rest of the group head back to the camp for the funeral. Runs 63 minutes and plays twice.
