Tonight on the Tube: Crime Time Repeats, Robin Hood and NBA Playoffs

It is Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby, as well as a night with not much on as usual. Maybe you are headed out to catch Spider-Man 3 at the theater today. Prime Picks

Criminal Minds (CBS): Repeat. The team goes to New York to try and stop what looks to be a rash of racially motivated crimes before things get out of hand.

CSI: Miami (CBS): Repeat. The team is after a person who is trying to kill a couple who got famous for their crimes.

Law & Order (NBC): Repeat. Arson is suspected after a string of church fires, but when a body is found in one of them, the focus becomes murder.

Solid Selections

America’s Funniest Home Videos (ABC): Repeat. What could be funnier than a dog attacking a piñata or a guy getting his head stuck in a pumpkin?

Meet the Fockers (ABC): Released 2004. Not quite as funny as the original, but still some great moments between the uptight parents of hers and the free spirits of his. Runs two hours.

Cable Choices

Emeril Live (Food Network): New. Emeril goes Hawaiian.

Robin Hood (BBC America): New. An arsonist tries to burn down Locksley Church and Robin stops them, which leads to other bizarre occurrences.

Wild at Heart (BBC America): New. Previous spouses show up and want to take kids back with them.

Other Options

• A Stranger’s Heart (Hallmark): Released 2007. Watch this made-for-TV fare about a woman who lost her mom and has stayed single into her 30s, but has a heart condition that needs a transplant. One becomes available and then she finds herself drawn to a little girl. A guy is also drawn to this young girl. They find out that they have her parents organs and in the process fall in love. Runs two hours.
• Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (NBC): Repeat. Tim Daly (The Nine, Wings) guests as a preacher who is suspected of murder.

• FOX has FOX Saturday Baseball with the Seattle Mariners at the New York Yankees in my neck of the woods. Other regions may have other games.
• NBC has NHL Playoffs followed by the Kentucky Derby.
• TBS has MLB action with the Los Angeles Dodgers at the Atlanta Braves.
• TNT has an NBA Playoff doubleheader with the Chicago Bulls at the Detroit Pistons in Game 1 of their second round series followed by the decisive game of the Utah Jazz at the Houston Rockets series.
