Download Lost Episodes at iTunesTonight is the two-hour season finale of Lost on ABC and American Idol on FOX. You will be finding out who won American Idol about the same time Lost is finishing up its first hour. Everything else is a repeat, well except for a new Dateline NBC in the third hour timeslot, but that doesn’t really count. Next Wednesday is the series premiere of the drama Hidden Palms on The CW. Also next week, ABC has the series premiere of the reality competition The Next Best Thing, where they attempt to find the best celebrity impersonator.

Prime Picks

Lost (ABC): Repeat. Clip show where the producers answer questions about the island in an attempt to get you caught up for tonight’s two-hour season finale that follows. This played last week after the Grey’s Anatomy finale.

Lost (ABC): Season Finale. This is supposed to be the episode that changes it all. So, I guess the new Toyota Tundra factors in somehow, right? But, I digress. Anyway, the castaways are trying to blow the crap out of the others and find a way to contact Naomi’s ship. Runs two hours.

Solid Selections

American Idol (FOX): Season Finale. I will probably end up watching this first and then Lost later, but Lost is definitely the better of the two options. So, who do you think will sing the final song tonight? Runs two hours.

CSI: NY (CBS): Repeat. The team investigates when a participant in a cross-town shopping cart race during the winter is found dead in Central Park.

Cable Choices

Enter the Dragon (AMC): Released 1973. Watch the Bruce Lee classic about a group of fighters who go to an island fortress to compete in a martial arts tournament. Runs two hours.

Hustle (AMC): New. The gang goes after a multi-million dollar prize in Las Vegas. Runs 75 minutes and plays again later.

Other Options

  • Saturday Night Live in the ‘90s: Pop Culture Nation (NBC): Repeat. Watch clips and interviews from the cast, which includes: Dana Carvey, Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Cheri Oteri and many others. Runs two hours.
  • World Poker Tour (Travel Channel): New. Watch the World Poker Finals. Runs two hours.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN has Wednesday Night Baseball with the Boston Red Sox at the New York Yankees.
  • ESPN2 has Wednesday Night Fights.

TV Marathons

Bravo has five hours of The Biggest Loser followed by 10 episodes of Shear Genius.
Oxygen has 10 episodes of A Different World early followed by 12 episodes of Roseanne.
Sci Fi has eight episodes of Airwolf early.
