Tonight on the Tube: Kyle XY, Standoff, Price Is Right & Sci Fi Friday

Today on CBS is the last episode of The Price Is Right to be hosted by Bob Barker, which he has done for 35 years now. That is a long time in one job. It replays in primetime before The 34th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards tonight. In other TV news, the recently revived Jericho will begin replaying on Friday, July 6th with the “Pilot” episode. Then, the next week, CBS will replay a catch-you-up clip show of the first half of the season and then replay the final eleven episodes.

Prime Picks

Kyle XY (ABC): Repeat. The premiere episode of the second season of this ABC Family show replays tonight. You actually find out a few answers about who he is, but there is still plenty of mystery and suspense for the rest of the season. ABC will be rerunning episodes for the next few weeks, but I wouldn’t get too used to it, as they only did it for the three or four episodes last summer with season one.

Standoff (FOX): New. Matt and Emily have to deal with two different hostages situations, separately.

Law & Order (NBC): Repeat. Chevy Chase does is best Mel Gibson impersonation in this episode ripped from the headlines.

Solid Selections

The Price Is Right (CBS): Repeat. The final episode with Bob Barker as host replays.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent (NBC): Repeat. Goren and Eames investigate a prominent socialite is murdered. Doris Roberts (Everybody Love Raymond) guest stars.

20/20 (ABC): New. Reports about luck, those who have it and those who don’t and how to make your own.

Cable Choices

Stargate SG-1 (Sci Fi): New. The team comes up with a plan to use Vala as bait to capture Adria. Plays again later. Series finale is next Friday.

Stargate Atlantis (Sci Fi): New. Col. Sheppard and the team get more than they were expecting while searching for a missing village. Plays again later. Season finale is next week.

Painkiller Jane (Sci Fi): New. Connor has been accused of an arson and murder and the team tries to prove his innocence. Plays again later.

Sports Notes

• NBC has morning golf coverage of the second round of the U.S. Open Championship.
• ESPN has continuing coverage of the U.S. Open Championship with a replay of some of the best of the day’s golf.
• ESPN2 has a couple of NCAA World Series baseball games.

Late Night

• Rescue Me (FX): Repeat. The season premiere episode, “Babyface,” replays.
