The Loop (FOX): New. Russ doesn’t want any presents for his birthday, but the staff ends up scrambling to get him something, which ends up getting Sam in trouble for his. Another episode plays later.
Desperate Housewives (ABC): Repeat. Gabrielle tries her hand at teaching little girls how to be models.
Brothers & Sisters (ABC): Repeat. A rift in the family may develop after the reading of William Walker’s will.
Cable Choices
Bruce Almighty (USA): Released 2003. Jim Carrey gets endowed with the powers of God for a week. Runs the two hours before the premiere of The 4400. The sequel with Steve Carrell, Evan Almighty, comes out this Friday.
The 4400 (USA): Season Premiere. A student learns that he has the power to control the people around him while Tom searches for Alana and Shawn is hospitalized. Plays again later. This is one of the shows I have been waiting for it to return this summer.
Entourage (HBO): Season Premiere. Vince and Eric start to find out that producing is not as easy as they thought.
Flight of the Conchords (HBO): Series Premiere. This is a reality type show about a comedy music duo that is from New Zealand. It could be worth checking out after Entourage.

- Army Wives (Lifetime): New. Joan gets called back to duty while Roxy is having second thoughts about Trevor adopting her kids. Plays again later. The first two episodes play earlier in the night.
- The Dead Zone (USA): Season Premiere. The continuing adventures of the psychic who tries to keep his family and friends safe while trying to save the world from ultimate destruction. Plays again later.
- Meadowlands (Showtime): Series Premiere. A family in the witness protection program tries to settle into their new life. This is an Americanized version of a British show.
- The Next Food Network Star (Food Network): New. A unique chocolate recipe has to be made. Plays again later. Last week’s episode replays right before.
- Rescue Me (FX): Repeat. The season premiere from last Wednesday, “Babyface,†replays. Runs 66 minutes.

- ESPN has a NCAA World Series game early and then later Sunday Night Baseball with the New York Mets at the New York Yankees.
- ESPN2 has an NCAA World Series game tonight and later a replay of the final round of the U.S. Open Championship.
- NBC has final round coverage of the U.S. Open Championship golf tournament with Tiger Woods two shots back and playing in the final pairing.
- TNT has NASCAR racing with the Nextel Cup: Citizens Bank 400.
