With the series premiere of Pushing Daisies tonight on ABC, everything on the networks, for Wednesdays, will have premiered. Over on cable there are a few things starting or finishing up. BBC America has the season premiere of Hotel Babylon. BET has the season premiere of American Gangster. Bravo has the series premiere of Better Half and the season finale of Top Chef. Comedy Central has the season premieres of The Sarah Silverman Program and South Park. MTV has the season finale of Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County.
Pushing Daisies (ABC): Series Premiere. One of the most buzzed about shows, finally hits the small screen. The story of a guy that can touch someone and bring him or her back to life, but the reverse is also true. Really have been looking forward to finding out what all the hype is about. How about you?
Bionic Woman (NBC): New. Jaime tries to maintain a normal life with her sister, while also keeping her abilities a secret, as she starts to really balance both sides of her human and bionic parts. Isaiah Washington (Grey’s Anatomy) makes his first appearance. Plays again Friday on Sci Fi and Saturday on NBC.
Life (NBC): New. Crews and his partner investigate the murder of a newlywed, as the husband is suspect #1. Crews also visits the scene of the crime that landed him in jail. Giving this show a couple more episodes, as the “Pilot” didn’t fully grab me. His character is almost a bit too strange. Will see if the second episode evens out any. The “Pilot” episode replays earlier today on USA.
Back to You (FOX): New. Chuck happens upon Kelly and their daughter eating dinner and ends up joining them. Comedy ensues.
‘Til Death (FOX): New. Comedy hasn’t ensued much since this show hit the airwaves, but if you watch the previous this is an option. Really you should just go get a snack or something until the second hour of primetime starts.
Private Practice (ABC): New. The doctors work with the hospital to figure out what is making a baby sick. Cooper tries to help Sam with his life as a single.
Dirty Sexy Money (ABC): New. Nick gets a plane mechanic to help him figure out what may have happened to his father’s plane. Juliet is refusing to be in family photo. They mystery behind Nick’s father dying in a plane crash got me interested, but the rest of the show was way over the top.
Iron Chef (Food Network): Repeat. An all female team headed by Chef Trace Des Jardines faces off against Iron Chef Mario Batali. Plays again later.
Food Network Challenge (Food Network): Repeat. Competition to create the best wedding cake and win the $10,000 prize is shown. Plays again later.
Dinner: Impossible (Food Network): Repeats. In the first of two episodes Chef Robert attempts to feed 850 marines and in the second bake 2400 pastries in one night. Both play again later.
Bravo has 12 episodes of Top Chef leading up to tonight’s finale.
Oxygen has 12 episodes of Roseanne early.
Sci Fi has eight episodes of BeastMaster early.
TNT has five episodes of Law & Order tonight.
