Well, the Writers Guild of America has officially gone on strike. So, the late night talk shows will be immediately in repeats, followed soon by their daytime counter parts. If the strike lasts long, scripted shows will start running out of already written and filmed episodes by the end of the year or early the next. Shows like Lost, 24 and others may not start as scheduled next year, since they don’t have completed seasons, because who wants to start watching 24 knowing that they only have a partial season ready to go? Then things will go into repeats, more reality crap will fill the airwaves and the number of new Netfilx accounts will skyrocket. But seriously, as the TVaholic, this is truly terrible news. All of a sudden the network TV landscape will look like summer TV and that sucks. I hope that the two sides will sit down and find some middle ground and soon, cause in the end, the real losers will be us, the TV fans, even though we are the reason there is all this money to fight about in the first place.
In happier news, well at least for the two winners of TVaholic’s first ever giveaway, the entry period came to a close last night and the winners were notified early this morning of their randomly selected victory.
