Tonight, the first two hours of the six-hour, three part miniseries, Tin Man. Sci Fi Channel has wildly re-imagined the classic, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum and illustrated by W. W. Denslow. As they say, this is not your grandmother’s Wizard of Oz. This is a new take on children’s fairy tale that was first published in 1900.
The remaining four hours plays over the next couple of nights. It looks really good. This is not your Sci Fi Saturday Night schlockfest made-for-TV movie. This is something the TVaholic would love to watch on the big screen at a theater. The cast is outstanding and they have spared no expense on the special f/x.
Below, check out the 22-minute making of special that Sci Fi has been using to promote the Tin Man miniseries and see what they have done to the classic tale.
What did you think of the making of Tin Man, will you be tuning in tonight?
