Tonight on the Tube: Sunday Night Football, Independence Bowl & TV Marathons

Buy One TV DVD, Get One Free Sale at Amazon for a Limited TimeThere are no premieres or finales to report tonight, well except the final Sunday Night Football game on NBC, but thought you might be interested in a Buy One TV DVD Set, Get Another One Free Sale that is going on at Amazon right now. There are 171 eligible TV DVD sets from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment available to choose from. I just bought season four and eight of Seinfeld and it only set me back $38.65. That’s less than $20 a set. I just couldn’t pass it up. Other season sets available, in addition to Seinfeld, include: All in the Family, Bewitched, Charlie’s Angels, Dawson’s Creek, Good Times, The Jeffersons, Kidnapped, Married With Children, Newsradio, Party of Five, Rescue Me, Sanford & Son, Soap, Starsky & Hutch and more. So, if you choose sets that are equal in price, you’ll be getting your sets at half off Amazon’s already discounted prices. Also, there doesn’t seem to be a limit, for every two sets you buy off the list, one of them is going to be free. That’s a steal of a deal to end the year.

Prime Pick

Sunday Night Football (NBC): The Tennessee Titans play at the Indianapolis Colts and with a win will be in the playoffs. Unfortunately, for the Cleveland Browns, it looks like the Colts will be resting a lot of their players for much of the game, which should give the Titans a good shot at winning and the Browns left watching the playoffs instead of playing in them. Broadcast starts at 8:15 p.m. ET.

Solid Selections

The Simpsons (FOX): Repeat. “I Don’t Wanna Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” from earlier this season replays with guest voice Steve Buscemi, as a bank robber that Marge convinces to turn himself in.
King of the Hill (FOX): Repeat. “Death Picks Cotton” from earlier this season replays, where Cotton looks after Bobby so Hank and Peggy can go out.

Cold Case (CBS): Repeat. “The Red and the Blue” from last season replays, where Lily and Scotty travel to Tennessee to investigate a case from 2000 of a male singer’s murder.

Shark (CBS): Repeat. The second episode of season one, “LAPD Blue,” replays, where the mayor wants Stark to redeem himself with the LAPD by convicting the killer of an undercover narcotics officer. Former NYPD Blue star Henry Simmons makes his first appearance as the partner of the murdered officer.

Cable Choices

Food Network Challenge (Food Network): Repeat. Food artist compete to make the best buildings out of breakfast cereals. Plays again later.
