The Twilight Zone - The Definitive Collection on DVDHappy New Year’s Eve everyone, today you will find listings of late night New Year’s Eve specials and holiday TV marathons. There are a few really good marathons that start today and run into tomorrow, like The Beverly Hillbillies on TV Land, Law & Order on USA, and The Twilight Zone on Sci Fi. Prime Picks

Saturday Night Live in the ‘90s: Pop Culture Nation (NBC): Repeat. A retrospective of the decade of the nineties with interviews with cast members Dana Carvey, Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, and others. Runs two hours.

Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve (ABC): New. Host Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest present Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, Fergie and OneRepublic for your performing pleasure.

Solid Selections

How I Met Your Mother (CBS): Repeat. The “Columns” episode from last season replays, where the gang finds out about a naked picture Lily did of Marshall and Barney wants one.
The Big Bang Theory (CBS): Repeat. The “Pilot” episode replays, where Leonard and his roommate meet their new neighbor Penny.

Two and a Half Men (CBS): Repeat. An episode from last season with guest star Brooke Shields replays.
Rules of Engagement (CBS): Repeat. Jeff finds out the hard way not to get a message from a woman that isn’t his wife in this episode from last season.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (NBC): Repeat. The “Avatar” episode replays, where Benson and Stabler use a victim’s online identity to track her kidnapper.

Other Options

  • Aliens in America (The CW): Repeat. The “The Metamorphosis” episode replays, where Raja convinces the hottest girl in school that she shouldn’t dress so provocatively, to the dismay of the rest of the guys at school.
  • Friends (TBS): Repeats. Two episodes play. The first is “The One With the Vows” and the second is “The One With Chandler’s Dad.”

  • CBS has the Brute Sun Bowl with Oregon vs. South Florida.
  • ESPN has the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl with Air Force vs. California followed by the Gaylord Hotels Motor City Bowl with Florida State vs. Kentucky and then the Chik-Fil-A Bowl with Auburn vs. Clemson.
  • ESPN2 has the Roady’s Humanitarian Bowl with Fresno State vs. Georgia Tech.
