Men in Trees (ABC): Repeat. The “Chemical Reactions” episode from earlier this season replays, where Marin gets lost in the woods looking for the perfect ingredient for her stew. Sara finds out that her ex wants custody of their son.

Women’s Murder Club (ABC): Repeat. The “Play Through the Pain” episode replays, where a football player is murdered and Angie Harmon’s husband and ex-NFL player Jason Sehorn makes an appearance.

Numb3rs (CBS): Repeat. The “Blackout” episode from last season replays, where the team is trying to discover if it is terrorist activity or something else causing the power outages.

Solid Selections

Bruce Almighty (FOX): Released 2003. Jim Carrey plays a frustrated reporter that meets God, played by Morgan Freeman, and gets his powers for one week to change things. Runs two hours.

20/20 (ABC): New. It is “A Year Caught on Tape: 2007.”

Cable Choices

Good Eats (Food Network): Repeat. Atlon is “Seeing Red” when he whips up some tasty tomato sauce. Plays again later.
Diner, Drive-Ins & Dives (Food Network): Repeat. Guy gets “Totally Fried,” as he visits some places with great fried foods. Plays again later.

Saturday Night Live (E!): Repeat. A Justin Timberlake hosted show is replayed. He has been one of the consistently better hosts in the last couple years along with Alec Baldwin.

Funniest Commercials of the Year: 2007 (TBS): Repeat. Host Kevin Nealon (Weeds) shows you some of the best commercials from around the world. Plays again tomorrow afternoon.

30 Rock (NBC): Repeat. The “Jack Gets in the Game” episode from earlier this season replays, where Jack finds out that his boss might be retiring soon and his nemesis, played by Will Arnett (Arrested Development) comes in engaged to the boss’ daughter.

The Office (NBC): Repeat. “The Negotiation” episode from last season replays, where Darryl wants a raise and Jim finds out that Pam told Roy.
Scrubs (NBC): Repeat. The seventh season premiere episode, “My Own Worst Enemy” replays, where J.D. is trying to figure out his feelings about Eliot and Kim.

New TV on DVD Releases for the Last Week of 2007 & More

Battlestar Galactica 1980: The Complete SeriesThere are only two new releases this final week of 2007. On Monday was the release of Battlestar Galactica 1980 - The Complete Epic Series and today is the release of Kong: Animated Series, Vol. 3. There are only three new releases coming next week, but things return to normal with the release of 17 new TV on DVD sets on Tuesday, January 8th.

But, there are some things to check out on TV on DVD land. Amazon has their Top 20 Television DVDs Editor’s Picks. The first two, season one of Heroes and season three of The Office can be had for 57% and 55% off respectively, but they are only available at that price for the next three days.
