I”ve missed most of that season, so I would love to win so I can check it out :D

I was wondering how well the show would do when they graduated HS, but fast forwarding the show has created interesting twists and stories. We get to see snippets of what each character went through after graduation (hardships, accomplishments). The downside is that it seems like even though each character has matured, they still seem to have the same issues they had in HS. I find it often annoying that some people havent changed. i just hope there is enough material to keep this season going woit the same kinda HS drama.

I guess somehow they had to fast forward the show to push the story lines they want us to see now..otherwise it may have taken the show too many baby step episodes to get to where we are now. Its funny that even after people get out of highschool nothing REALLY changes.. highschool is just a microcosm of society and once you get out of that box. you think the game changes but at the core level it really doesnt. I think this new season will be great — we’ve seen, at least with this last episode, that in order to move forward you have to let some things go. anyway, i could talk forever ..

Great giveaway! I hope i’m the lucky winner :)

I had no reservations of them fast fowarding 4 years. I thought it was a excellent idea.
This way you can find out what happened during the college years through flash backs without
having to watch the college years like BH 90210 did. It gives them a lot more room with
storylines as well. Bringing them 4 years into the future helped the characters grow, I think.
Because the show was on hiatus for so long, it really did feel like 4 years had passed to me whe
    they came back.

How could I not want to win this fabulous prize? I mean, to gaze upon the soft, dewey, unlined skin of Chad Michael Murray’s face? To stare deeply into the soulful, inspiring eyes of James Lafferty? To celebrate the unparalleled thespian gifts of Hillarie Burton? True heaven, I say. Heaven!

My daughter loves One Tree Hill and I was hoping to win it for her. BTW, LOVE TV AHOLIC Daily Updates.

  • David K Feb 7, 2008, 4:02 pm

I like this show. I like the flashfoward too. It works and I do not see how they would have done with with the “college years.” I think this way was good. It is one of the main reasons Dawsons Creek ended, they didnt know what to do after the high school year, story ran dry. This way, OTH can continue with adult years and have the story lines.

I am glad CW decided to bring the show back. I just hope they do the same for Reaper and bring it back.

  • Heather Feb 8, 2008, 8:01 am

I would love to get caught up on One Tree Hill. I have heard that the ff really helped develop a more interesting story!

  • Lacie Clark Feb 10, 2008, 1:58 pm

I just really love the show. For me, i’m addicted to it. At first i had no intentions on even watching it, but after the first show i couldnt get enough!

  • Leslie Jones Feb 10, 2008, 2:55 pm

I’ve been a fan of OTH since the beginning…it’s sort of like my guilty pleasure. As far as the fast forward in the plot at the start of season 5, I think there are some pros & cons. First of all, I do think a jump forward is interesting for the character development. Now there can be more adult and engaging story lines because they have had more life experience and most of the characters spent some time away from the small town of Tree Hill. I also like the fact that they had a semi-reunion and brought back some of the emotion and drama of unresolved plot points. As far as the drawbacks are concerned, I miss the parental figures. Now our cast is officially of age and the adult characters have vanished, with the exception of Brooke’s mom, who in an ironic twist was never able to be there for her in HS, but it conveniently available to run her mega-successful company. Also, I have a hard time believing the time growth because the characters still look and dress the same. Overall, I have to say, I think it’s a good thing to get to the future instead of four more years of school related stories….think 90210 in the sluggish college years…so I’m pleased that my guilty pleasure will only be that much more guilty after all.

  • Amy Feb 10, 2008, 5:54 pm

I’m a little torn on the fast forward. I love it yet when I see flashbacks from their college years, I love them too. I’m thinking if it’s One Tree Hill, I’ll love it either way!

My girlfriend loves One Tree Hill, and it would make the perfect gift for Valentine’s Day.

  • debbie Feb 10, 2008, 8:01 pm

My son and I watch one tree hill together we have been watching it since the first episode, I always try to find shows of interest to us both.

  • Cindi Hoppes Feb 10, 2008, 8:06 pm

Hi, I would really enjoy winning this because my son and his girlfriend are love watching this show. Please enter me in your contest! Thanks,Cindi

  • kristy Feb 10, 2008, 8:22 pm

OK, I love the idea of the fast forward, but lets be honest, they stole the idea from Dawson’s Creek. I have no problem with that since I loved the idea for that final too. I agree with the other posts, all the characters of a show going to the same college (Saved by the Bell, 90210, Dawsons) really never works. As for why I want the DVD set, I at all times have a teen drama that I am obsessed with, hence the previous pathetic references, and OTH happens to be my current one. I want to be able to look back years from now and say…..really?

  • Mary Feb 10, 2008, 8:59 pm

I am interested in winning cuz kevin federline was on the show.

  • Chandra Feb 10, 2008, 9:09 pm

I’ve never watched OTH before but I’ve seen some of the flash-foward eps and the show looks pretty good. I would like the DVD’s to check out the show from the beginning.

  • Danielle S Feb 10, 2008, 9:59 pm

I’m interested in winning, because I’ve never seen a single episode, and would LOVE to know what all of the hype is about!

  • Karen Feb 10, 2008, 10:50 pm

I missed several episodes so it would be great to catch up. Thanks for the contest!

  • Shannon Feb 11, 2008, 4:58 am

I love OTH and too see there lives 4 years later, its crazy but I love all the drama as they grow so its going to great!

  • Aimee Feb 11, 2008, 6:37 am

I was very nervous about seeing the show fast forward four years, but it is turning out to be pretty good. I am however sad to see that Peyton and Lucas are not together.

  • marissa Feb 11, 2008, 7:49 am

I dont mind the fast forward the plot would have taken too long to get where it is at now. No complaints here! Count me in thanks for the contest!

  • Jason Fiske Feb 11, 2008, 9:02 am

I have seen the show a couple of times and am very impressed. Unfortunately I work a seconjob on Tuesday night to cover my bills. You know retail, the stores close after every customer leaves. Like I said, I am very impressed with the young actors and actresses and the story line is great. Don’t know too much about the fast forwarding of the time line, but very much do want to win this show so I have something to watch! (did I forget to mention that I don’t have cable).

  • Jenny Feb 11, 2008, 10:18 am

I LOVE LOVE LOVE OTH!!! I think that fast forwarding was a great idea!!! Way too many shows have done th college years. It’s nice to see a few years later! I really like how they reverse back into the past, to fill you in though.

  • Heather C Feb 11, 2008, 11:04 am

I’d just like to win this for my sister (‘cuz I’m such a giving person). She’s a huge fan of the show. Thanks for the giveaway.

  • FireMom Feb 11, 2008, 12:34 pm

At first my Husband and I were really annoyed about the fast-forward-four-years plot line. We watched the first two episodes with skepticism. However, I must say, the new “dating” of the show hasn’t swayed our fandom at all. We tune in every week, talk about it like giggly teens and maybe even enjoy the fact that the teen show we felt silly for watching is now almost in our age range.

We’ve also learned not to hire the hot nanny for our two boys. Definitely not. ;)

  • Holly Henderson Feb 11, 2008, 1:46 pm

I think the fast-forwarding was a good idea. They all needed some growing up and they might otherwise have lost me as a fan. But now that they’re “out in the world” I can relate to their struggles, esp about finding your professional niche.

  • Stephanie Feb 11, 2008, 2:37 pm

I like the fast forward. It’s really hard to believe a show when they all made it to same college. This way there all back home, their actually the age they’re playing and it works.

  • Jennifer Barr Feb 11, 2008, 6:11 pm

I like the fast forwarding idea and think it will be cool :)

  • Heather W Feb 11, 2008, 6:23 pm

I REALLY REALLY REALLY want this season 4 to complete my set. I love the fast forward move that the show has done. It was really shady to begin with but now it seems to be in the groove of story telling and the gang seems back to the drama we all love.

  • jame k Feb 11, 2008, 7:33 pm

To be honest I really want it so I can sell it on craigslist. I’m broke :(

  • Karin Feb 11, 2008, 8:06 pm

Would like to see the show because I have never seen it.

  • Taryn S Feb 12, 2008, 11:11 am

I’d like to win this for my mom because she loves this show and her birthday is next weekend! :)

  • Alexa Marie Feb 13, 2008, 3:35 am
