America’s Next Top Model (The CW): New. This is sad. I mean, Deal or No Deal is the best you can do in the first hour of primetime and this is the second, as Big Brother, The Moment of Truth and Wife Swap are the competition. What a pathetic hour of network TV.
Law & Order: Criminal Intent (NBC): Repeat. A corrupt judge’s wife is shot and Logan and Falacci are on the case.
Law & Order (NBC): New. After breaking up a dog-fighting ring, a finger of a woman is found in one of the dogs. The detectives try to play on the ambitions of a reporter to solve the case.
Cable Choices
Good Eats (Food Network): Repeats. Alton cooks up some chocolate cookies and gives you all the info you need to make them chewy, crunchy, thin, or just about anyway you could think to vary a cookie. Then he talks milk. Mmmm, milk and cookies! Both episodes play again later.
Ultimate Recipe Showdown (Food Network): Repeat. Sunday’s episode, “Cakes,” replays, where the three categories are Chocolate Cake, Cupcakes and Birthday Cakes. The winner goes home with $25,000. Plays again later.
Head Case (Starz): Season Finale. Dr. Goode is trying to help Rosanna Arquette after her fiance dumps her. Plays again later.
Hollywood Residential (Starz): Season Finale. Tony is redoing Beverly D’Angelo place. Plays again later.

- American Idol (FOX): New. The result of last night’s Top 12 competition is revealed after an hour of filler and Coke and Ford promos. Never quite gotten the fascination with the results show.
- CSI: NY (CBS): Repeat. A model dies in a giant martini glass on a billboard in Times Square.
- Tyler Perry’s House of Payne (TBS): New. Two new episodes play tonight after two repeats. In the first new episode, Malik invites his new girlfriend over to meet the family. In the second, it is men against women on game night.

Wednesday is a bit of a wasteland for worthy TV watching. It looks like Men in Trees for me and that is about it. What will you be watching?
