Tonight, FOX has Idol Gives Back 2008.
Over on cable, Discovery Channel has the first season finale of Smash Lab, Sci Fi has the second season finale of Destination Truth, and TV Land has the fourth season finale High School Reunion.
In returning show news, FOX has Back to You and ‘Til Death back with new episodes as of next week.

American Idol: Idol Gives Back (FOX): Special. Starts a half hour before primetime and runs two hours and 30 minutes. Ellen DeGeneres hosts again and many performers and celebrities join in to put on a show and collect money for charity. This week’s results show will be tomorrow night.
CSI: NY (CBS): New. Stella really needed to move anyway, as how many bad things can happen at this place. This time it is a fire in her building, but it may have been arson to cover a murder.
Solid Selections
Deal or No Deal (NBC): New. A dude picks cases and tries to win money, but probably goes to far and leaves with less money than he could have.
Criminal Minds (CBS): New. The team thinks there might be a serial killer working a Pittsburgh neighborhood after a noticeable spike in suicides.
Law & Order (NBC): Repeat. Green and Lupo go undercover to try and solve the case of a mother and daughter killed in a hit-and-run, in “Quit Claim” from earlier this season.
Cable Choices
Ice Cream Paradise (Travel Channel): New. Get a look at some great places to get ice cream around the country. Plays again later.
MI-5 (BBC America): New. A scientist is threatening to let loose the pneumonic plague to the masses, in “Love and Death” from season three.
Tyler Perry’s House of Payne (TBS): New. First up it is “Time to Clean House” and then what it is like to be “Living With Liz.” Two repeat episodes precede these episodes.

- Chefography (Food Network): New. See how the Food Network came to be what it is today. The Mario Batali episode precedes it. Both play again later.
- John Ratzenberger’s Made in America (Travel Channel): New. Two episodes play, where John visits Sears Tower in the first and then the French Quarter in the second. Both play again later.

- ESPN has the Masters Par 3 Contest and then later a NBA doubleheader, with the Boston Celtics at the Washington Wizards followed by the Phoenix Suns at the San Antonio Spurs.
- ESPN2 has Wednesday Night Baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies at the New York Mets followed by Wednesday Night Fights.
- Versus has doubleheader NHL playoff action.

A&E has five episodes of CSI: Miami tonight.
