Helping You Find the Prime in Primetime

Tonight, ABC has the two-hour 18th season finale of America’s Funniest Home Videos and CBS has the third and fourth season finales, respectively, of Ghost Whisperer and Numb3rs and the series finale of Moonlight.
Over on cable, CMT has the series premiere of Mobile Home Disaster.
America’s Funniest Home Videos (ABC): Season Finale. The best bet in the first hour of primetime is to watch the first hour of this two-hour show while you are waiting for Moonlight to make its final bow.
Moonlight (CBS): Series Finale. A murder investigation is putting the real identies of Mick and Josef in jeopardy. So, they band together with other L.A vamps to protect their secret. Was surprised that CBS cancelled this. Too bad it had so many behind the scenes troubles or it might have been given another shot.
Numb3rs (CBS): Season Finale. Don and Charlie are on different sides of a case involving national security. Megan is having a crisis of conscience, which should lead to her exit, as Diane Farr will not be returning next season.
America’s Funniest Home Videos (ABC): Season Finale. The second best bet in the first and second hour of primetime is to watch all two hours of this show. Just can’t bring myself to put Ghost Whisperer in the picks or selections, even if it is a season finale episode. I guess I am still a bit on the bitter side of CBS canceling the superior Joan of Arcadia for it. Can’t believe Whisperer has made it three seasons and will be back for a fourth next fall.
20/20 (ABC): New. Investigative reports include stories on the effects of surveillance cameras on police culture and a young woman from a polygamist sect talks about what it was like.
The Sarah Jane Adventures (Sci Fi): New. Two episodes play. The first up is “Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane, Part 2,” where Maria meets a past and present day Sarah Jane, and then “The Lost Boy, Part 1,” where a missing boy looks exactly like Luke.
Doctor Who (Sci Fi): New. An old enemy is waiting for the Doctor on present day earth. Plays again later.
Battlestar Galactica (Sci Fi): New. Leaders are tested when they team up with Cylon rebels to destroy an enemy target of great importance. Plays again later.
Bravo has five episodes of Flipping Out early followed by seven episodes of The Real Housewives of…
MTV has 14 episodes of Run’s House early.
Sci Fi has eight episodes of Firefly early.
VH1 has 10 episodes of Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School.
