Tonight on the Tube: Incredible Hulk Marathon & NBA Finals

News & Notes

Incredible Hulk - Season Two on DVDTonight, ABC has the NBA Finals and a Jimmy Kimmel Live special and NBC has the third season finale of Most Outrageous Moments.

Over on cable, BET has the one-hour first season finale of Iron Ring, Bravo has the third season finale of Work Out, FX has the first season finale of Alaska Experiment, and Oxygen has a Oxygen 25iest: Power Couples special.

In it’s-finally-returning news, FX has set a premiere date for the seventh and final season of The Shield for Tuesday, September 2nd. Wow, only a short 15 months between seasons. Makes waiting some nine months for Lost to return seem almost short.

Prime Picks

NBA Finals (ABC): Game 3. The Boston Celtics took a two game lead over the Los Angeles Lakers, but almost blew a 24-point lead in the last seven minutes of the game. If Kobe and the Lakers can play a little more like that for the entire game, then they have a good shot of getting back in the series. How lopsided in the Lakers favor do you thing the foul shot disparity will be, now that they are back at home? The game starts around 9:00 p.m. ET with a 30-minute pre-game show. A special Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night will air either before or after the game depending on your time zone. Like here in Seattle, Jimmy will be on after the game.

Solid Selections

NCIS (CBS): Repeat. The team has to deal with local biases while trying to find who is behind the death of a Marine found dead in a small town, in “Suspicion” from season four.

Law & Order: SVU (NBC): Repeat. Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina the Teenage Witch) guest-stars as a teacher that is accused of giving a sexually transmitted disease to one of her students, in “Impulsive” from this past season. Another episode form last season, “Savant,” follows.

Without a Trace (CBS): Repeat. A water plant worker goes missing not long after a fired employee threatened him, in “Desert Springs” from season five.

Cable Choices

Good Eats (Food Network): Repeats. Alton introduces you to “Citizen Cane” and then “Puff the Magic Mallow.” Both episodes play again later.

Throwdown With Bobby Flay (Food Network): Repeats. Bobby deals with some “Sticky Buns” and then a bunch of “Crepes.” Both episodes play again later.

The Office (TBS): Repeats. Dwight wants to submit everyone to some “Drug Testing” after finding a joint in the parking lot and then Michael takes over for some “Conflict Resolution.”

Sports Notes

  • ABC has Game 3 of the NBA Finals, see Prime Picks above for more info.
  • ESPN2 has WNBA action.

Late Night

  • Greek (ABC Family): Repeat. Monday night’s season one finale episode, “Spring Broke,” replays. My cable cut out on me halfway through this last night and it still isn’t back on as of this writing. I sure hope it is back on by game time tonight.

Bravo has six episodes of Work Out.
Sci Fi has 10 episodes from season two of Incredible Hulk. They are playing 10 episodes each day this week thru Friday.
