New TV on DVD: Early Edition, The New Adventures of Old Christine & More

Early Edition - Seaon One on DVDOnly 14 new TV on DVD sets entering the marketplace this week, but there are a couple of really good ones. They are the first season of Early Edition and the second season of The New Adventures of Old Christine.

Early Edition starred Kyle Chandler, now playing the Coach on Friday Night Lights, as a bar owner in Chicago that starts receiving tomorrow’s newspaper today. He doesn’t know how or why, just that he has 24 hours to fix something that is going to go wrong. The show was a lot of fun and is definitely worth checking out.

The New Adventures of Old Christine has put an end to the Seinfeld curse. Well, at least for star Julia-Louis Dreyfus. She plays a divorced mother who owns her own fitness club and is sending her kid to private school, where she doesn’t exactly fit in with the other moms. She also has to deal with her ex-husband and his new younger girlfriend, new Christine. The show is very funny, as Dreyfus is willing to do just about anything for laugh.
