My Boys - Season One on DVDThe Fourth of July holiday weekend gets off to an early TV marathons start. Sci Fi has two days of The Twilight Zone episodes, USA has the entire first season of Burn Notice and more, see listings below.

Prime Picks

Last Comic Standing (NBC): New. Richard Belzer (Law & Order: SVU) and Steve Shrippa (The Sopranos) are on hand to serve as talent scouts and the final 12 gets set. Runs two hours.

Swingtown (CBS): New. Susan doesn’t want Bruce showing support for a controversial movie actor at afund raiser.

Solid Selections

Smallville (The CW): Repeat. Lana ends up with Clark’s powers and uses them to steal evidence from Lex’s safe, in “Wrath” from this past season.

Grey’s Anatomy (ABC): Repeat. Izzie isn’t ready for the reaction people will have when they learn of her feelings for George, in “The Heart of the Matter” from this past season.

Fear Itself (NBC): New. A rookie cop gets left in charge with a serial killer being held at a small police station.

Cable Choices

Good Eats (Food Network): Repeat. Alton finds pickles to be “Dill-icious.” Plays again later.
The Secret Life Of … (TBS): Repeat. The history of “Pub Food” is told. Plays again later.

The Bill Engvall Show (TBS): New. Lauren makes a new friend that seems to have a thing for Trent. Meanwhile, Bill agrees to help Bryan with a pineblock derby car. Plays again later.
My Boys (TBS): New. Andy decides to take an improv class and the nanny is having visa problems. Plays again later.

The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABC Family): Repeat. The series premiere episode, “Falling in Love,” from Tuesday replays.

Other Options

  • Monster Garage (TLC): New. First a “Garbage Truck” and then a “Delivery Truck” get a monster makeover. Both episodes play again later.
  • The Next Food Network Star (Food Network): Repeat. Sunday’s episode, “Enticing and Easy With Bon Appetit,” replays. Plays again later.
  • So You Think You Can Dance (FOX): New. The results of this week are announced and two are sent home.

Sports Notes

  • ESPN2 has the Wimbledon women’s semifinals early.
  • Golf Channel has first round coverage of the AT&T National.

Late Night

  • Burn Notice (USA): Repeat. Episodes 10, 11 and 12, “False Flag,” “Drop Dead” and “Loose Ends,” replay. All 12 first season episodes play today. Season two premieres next week. Discovery Channel has eight episodes of MythBusters today and 10 episodes of How It’s Made tonight.

Spike has 12 episodes of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation today and includes the “Pilot” episode twice.

TNT has six episodes of Law & Order tonight.
USA has all 12 first season episodes of Burn Notice.
