BBC America has a new show debuting tonight, Skins. It sounds interesting, as the average age of the writing staff is 22. It looks similar to the likes of Beverly Hills, 90210, Dawson’s Creek, Degrassi, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, and other teen dramas, but a bit more on the racy side or well, British. Just check out the trailer below. (RSS and eMail subscribers may need to click to the website to view the videos)

Skins Show Description

It is the story of a group of teens living in Bristol. The group’s leader is the best-looking and most-popular kid around. He’s up for any kind of fun, especially if it’s at someone else’s expense. His best mate is the opposite of him and he lusts after his friend’s beautiful girlfriend.

The girlfriend has a very quick wit and always keeps everyone on his or her toes. Then there is: the class clown who’ll do whatever to get a laugh, the super talented classical clarinet player, the guy that can do anything with his hands, the practicing Muslim, the crazy girl, and the younger sister of the popular kid.

The most interesting character sounds like Cassie, who is the crazy one. Just watch the video below.

Skins has its two-hour premiere tonight, Sunday, August 17th, 2008, on BBC America.
