Prime Picks

Everybody Hates Chris (The CW): Season Premiere. Chris is looking forward to his first day of high school.
The Game (The CW): Season Premiere. Melanie gets some bad news after telling Derwin how she feels about him.

The Ex List (CBS): Series Premiere. A woman is told she only has a year to find her Mr. Right or it will never happen for her. But, she has already been romantically involved with him, so she is to follow the signs and figure out who it could be. Read my review. This pretty much wins out by default, as there isn’t anything else even close to worth watching in this time period on the networks.

Life (NBC): New. A man is found bound to a chair at the bottom of an empty pool and detectives Crews and Reese investigate the case. Another new episode plays on Monday night following Heroes. This show gets picked over Numb3rs by the slightest of margins, mostly for the shows humor.

Solid Selections

Ghost Whisperer (CBS): Season Premiere. There is a fire at the University and Melinda may have found a new sidekick with her present one leaving the show. Read my review. This only gets a second place spot by default, as I’m pretty much done with the reality/game shows it is up against in this time period.

Deal or No Deal (NBC): New. Yah, yah, I know what I just typed above, but there isn’t anything else on worth watching in this time period and I had to choose something as the second best selection.

Numb3rs (CBS): Season Premiere. Two rock climbers are killed and are found to have a huge stolen diamond in their possession. Charlie is debating whether or not he wants to get his FBI clearance reinstated. My favorite part of this show is the family drama aspect between the two brothers and their father. It’s a small part of the show, but it’s what makes it so good.

Cable Choices

Road Tasted With the Neelys (Food Network): Repeat. The Neelys visit Rhode Island for some tasty treats. Plays again later.
Rachael’s Vacations (Food Network): New. Rachael takes in the local tastes of Park City, UT.

Sanctuary (Sci Fi): Series Premiere. Amanda Tapping (Stargate Atlantis, Stargate SG-1) stars in this new series about a doctor who tracks strange beings. It is based on the web series of the same name. Read my review. Plays twice tonight.

Other Options

  • What Not to Wear (TLC): New. A CPA in her 30s needs to start dressing for her age. Plays again later.
