Over on cable, BBC America has a Sex Change Soldier special, Comedy Central has the 12th fall season premiere of South Park and the second fall season premiere of The Sarah Silverman Program, and TV Land has the second season premiere of TV Land Myths & Legends.

Pushing Daisies (ABC): New. People keep turning up dead at a circus where it looks like someone Emerson is looking for has joined. Olive gets a visit from Lily at the nunnery. Really hope that the ratings for this pick up this week. Can’t believe that Knight Rider out drew it last week.

Private Practice (ABC): New. Addison and Sam take things over at the practice to bring it out of bankruptcy. Violet and Cooper’s friendship could come to an end. Runs 61 minutes.

Dirty Sexy Money (ABC): New. The Darlings are planning a funeral and trying to get momma out of jail. Jeremy finds out what Nola Lyons really does. Lisa and Nick discuss having another child.

Bones (FOX): New. Breast implants are found, but when the lower half of the body they belong to is recovered, the team has to readjust the direction of the investigation.

Criminal Minds (CBS): New. Reid and Prentiss go undercover at cult that is under suspicion of abusing children, but end up being taken hostage.

CSI: NY (CBS): New. An air marshal is killed on a plane and Mac must figure out how it was done and who did it.

Good Eats (Food Network): Repeats. Alton does a little “Cubing a Round” before he tries to “Corn the Beef.” Both play again later.

MythBusters (Discovery Channel): New. The guys test myths around the idea of driving blind. Plays again later.

Sons of Anarchy (FX): New. SAMCRO does a small favor for Piney’s old war buddy that turns in to a big problem for the club. Meanwhile, Gemma is dealing with getting older. Runs 62 minutes. Plays twice and again later. FX has picked the show up for a second season.
