Over on cable, G4 has a X-Play 2009 Preview Special, IFC has the first season finale of The IFC Media Project, and TBS has the Funniest Commercials of the Year: 2008.

In late night, TBS has the first season finale of Frank TV.

Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (ABC): Repeat. The animated holiday classic about a green curmudgeon who tries to stop Christmas replays again this holiday season. Narrated by Boris Karloff.

NCIS (CBS): Repeat. In “Requiem” from season five, Gibbs helps a childhood friend of his deceased daughter’s.

The Mentalist (CBS): Repeat. The “Ladies in Red” episode replays, where a man is found dead in his safe room and Patrick sets out to make each suspect show their true colors.

House (FOX): Repeat. Last season’s Christmas episode that didn’t play until the end of January, “It’s A Wonderful Lie,” replays, where the team is trying to figure out why a woman all of a sudden became paralyzed in her hands. Runs 61 minutes.

Privileged (The CW): Repeat. Episode five, “All About Appearances,” replays. Megan gets Laurel to use the girls in her new ad campaign.

ABC’s the List (ABC): New. A countdown of innovations and milestones in entertainment and pop culture is listed.

Paula’s Southern Christmas (Food Network): Repeat. Celebrate Christmas with Paul Deen and her family. Plays again later.

Funniest Commercials of the Year: 2008 (TBS): New. Kevin Nealon hosts and takes you through some of the best commercials from around the world. Plays again later.

Leverage (TNT): New. It’s “The Miracle Job,” where the team is trying to help church from being closed down by a real estate mogul looking to build something on the land. It plays again later and again on Saturday afternoon. Listen to an interview with star Gina Bellman and director & executive producer Dean Devlin. Read an interview with star Timothy Hutton.

  • Fringe (FOX): Repeat. “Power Hungry” from earlier in the season replays, where the team is investigating a man that can harness electricity. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 59 minutes.
