Other Options
- American Idol (FOX): Season Premiere. The eighth season begins with auditions. This is not my favorite part of the show, I won’t be checking it out until the guys and the girls start singing for votes and then we’ll see if there is anyone worth following. This season there is a fourth judge and 36 semifinalists, plus a wild card round.
- Chopped (Food Network): Series Premiere. Four contestants compete by cooking up something tasty from a basket full of surprise ingredients. Plays again later.
- nip/tuck (FX): New. Christian and Liz get a little closer. Sean meets up with his family. Runs 63 minutes. Plays again later.
- Scrubs (ABC): New. In the first episode, Dr. Cox teams up with Dr. Kelso to get rid of Dr. Maddox. In the second episode, Eliot and J.D. may be rekindling old feelings when they try to help Dr. Kelso find a new happy place.
Sports Notes
- ESPN has doubleheader college basketball action with Indiana at Ohio State followed by Kentucky at Tennessee.
- ESPN2 has a college basketball action with Memphis at Tulsa.
