Prime Picks
Bones (FOX): New. A prop being used by a death metal band turns out to be a real skeleton, so Booth and Brennan investigate.
The Office (NBC): New. Dwight has always been devoted to Michael, but that status is being tested. Runs 31 minutes. Last week’s two episodes were both really good and very funny, hope the trend continues.
30 Rock (NBC): New. Liz is trying to figure out what to do during her suspension. Jenna tries to create buzz for the release of her movie. Starts a minute after the half-hour and runs 29 minutes.
Harper’s Island (CBS): New. The wedding party is out on a scavenger hunt. Henry tries making peace with some of the locals. Abby meets someone that is haunted by the island’s past. Starts a minute after the hour and runs 59 minutes. Really liked last week’s premiere and think this will be a fun show to keep up with for its 13-episode run. Today is the last day to enter our Harper’s Island T-Shirt Prize Pack giveaway.
Solid Selection
My Name Is Earl (NBC): New. Earl tries to make things up to someone he bullied in school. Randy tries to keep from being bullied by Joy.
Samantha Who? (ABC): New. Samantha gambles big in Vegas and loses a bunch of money. Dena wants a favor from Andrea.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS): New. Hodges and Wendy run into each other at a science fiction convention and end up investigating the death of a beloved actor. Runs 61 minutes.
Southland (NBC): New. The officers find an abandoned baby. Bryant and Moretta are trying to find the resources to put a juvenile under police protection. Once I got used to the editing style of the show, I really enjoyed this show’s premiere episode last week.
Cable Choices
Good Eats (Food Network): Repeats. Alton cooks with herbs and then carrots. Both episodes play again later.
American Chopper (TLC): New. A bike for the Woodstock music festival is built. Plays again later.
Being Erica (SOAPnet): New. Erica goes back to her university days to relive a relationship. It plays again twice on Saturday and again Sunday night. I really like this show, but have gotten so far behind.
Other Option
- Ace of Cakes (Food Network): New. Bobble head and Antarctic cakes are made. Plays again later.
- The Beast (A&E): New. Barker has been setup for a murder. Plays twice and again later twice.
- Parks and Recreation (NBC): New. Support for the new park project is trying to be built. I didn’t find last week’s episode to be all that funny, but will give it a few episodes to see if it can find its groove. You can find last week’s premiere episode playing earlier in the day on Oxygen and right before primetime on Bravo.
Sports Note
- Versus has three NHL playoff games.
Late Night
